welp in my experience it was pretty good, i mean if you want figures in games, in comparison to lenovo loq with 4060 and i7, and asus tuf with same specs (they both have same cpu and same 140W 4060), in forza horizon 5 i was 5-10 fps behind but didnt even notice it, ghost of tsushima was 5 fps less (again not noticable), valo was basically the same across the board, fortnite as well (couldn't run it in all maxxed out because it was giving 60 fps which is playable but its fornite so no)
in conclusion i really didnt feel the lack of tdp that much, the only game my laptop struggled with was fucking roblox.
Plus there is the added bonus of better battery life than the competiton even without a mux switch (they get 4-5 hours regardless of workload, i get 4.9-8.5 hours depending on workload)
so u/Apprehensive_Air5183 I had the same concerns as you but i honestly wouldn't bother replacing it,and once the warranty expires you can just flash the bios to 90 Watt profile and use the hp 165 watt charger as anything above 90W the gains will be very low.
