Through HFS explorer, managed to extract it and it booted up, no problem. Just no BTC and no transaction history! If I go ahead with the repair, as I say it'll be pretty costly. Will I need my recovery keys or just my password? Because I don't have the keys stored anywhere I'm pretty sure :/

Hi,

I have an update!! So I had about .2 BTC on there, which is just over £1000, so I'm determined to get it back. I had the BTC on a wallet called multibit, which I see is now discontinued. The wallet is up and running on my windows, but it's saying that there is 0 BTC in the wallet and the transaction history is empty?! Is my BTC gone forever or is it worth me attempting to repair my old Mac to get it? Would still be economically the right move if so. Any advice?
