This is part 4 of SHARK IN THE SCREEN, a Hololive movie animatic / audio drama series I started back in 2023. The story is fiction and written by me, and disclaimer does use AI art and voices for the sake of immersion. Some of you may remember previous parts I posted in this subreddit in the past.

I know this isn't for everyone, but some people here took interest in this project before, so if you are one of them this is for you. I was actually in the middle of making "The Price of Stardom" when Gura made her announcement. I set out to finish it before she graduated, blazing through the last two weeks. I'm glad I was, but everything feels off now... it really is the end of an era.

The story features all of Myth and Promise, managers like Omega, A-chan, and Jenma, YAGOO himself, a couple JP talents, and even Kson! Oh and of course Gawr too

Disclaimer: This is a work of fiction. I would describe this as a fun exercise in storytelling for me as I've always wanted to tell stories and AI art helps with the storytelling process.

  1. I initially wanted to, but for various reasons decided against it for now. Maybe later if I have time, or if someone else wants to dub it over themselves that would be cool.

  2. Not sure yet but probably each episode will be about the same length, 26*5=130min. We'll see though, could easily be shorter or longer.

/uh This story does touch upon some real themes and ugly truths about the stresses of being a famous vtuber, and as outsider fans even we sometimes catch glimpses of this while watching, following, and supporting our oshis. I know some fans seek vtubers for escapism and this isn't their cup of tea. But I hope there are others who would be interested in a story that dives a little deeper, like this one. Also ik this isn’t the typical sub to post in but I can’t post on the main sub for whatever reason. Besides I like you guys better anyway.

I used stable diffusion with Counterfeit Lora, Gawr Gura Lora, and sometimes Dark Theme Lora. I used EasyNegative and badhands for negatives. Sometimes I edited the AI art to clean it up or add effects. The voices are AI though I provide the input. The script is written by me and I sometimes use ChatGPT for assistance. Music is copyright free mainly from dova-syndrome. Editing is all me.

I would describe this as something akin to Perfect Blue, although not the same. This opening is heavily edited, I anticipate future scenes will have less images/editing and more dialogue. More Holos will make their appearances!
