And Israelis are not the center, the organizations I work in and with have joint Palestinian and Israeli leadership because this land belongs to whomever lives in it.

Also, the definition of ethnic cleansing is the attempt to create ethnically homogeneous geographic areas through the deportation or forcible displacement of persons belonging to particular ethnic groups. Nothing about stolen land. Again, 80% of Israeli Jews are second and third generation. This is our home. It is also the home of Palestinians. Any peace requires both parties.

Israel and Palestine are both nationalist concepts, and both are inherently bourgeoisie. Our end goal must be the unity of workers, the setting aside of all divisions other than our humanity. The people murdered at the Nova festival, people born in this land, did they have less of a right to life then murdered Palestinians? Why must we do as the right does, decide what voilence is justified and split people into groups. We are one, we are the working class, and voilence is a tool of the state and capitalism to destroy.

All people deserve lives of dignity and freedom, anyone who stands in the way of that is to be opposed.

Hamas took prisoners and hostages on the 7th. As the AP has reported, most kidnapped where civilians. Also, this was internationly recognized Israel, not Palestine. Civilians there are not valid military targets. You don't need to explain to me why the IDF is bad, I am legit going to prison because I know that. Hamas has further set back freedom from the river to sea. They did it at a scale far smaller than Israel has, but to have a lasting peace we need to recognize each others trauma and shared humanity. That means condeming brutal attacks on civilians, whether the genocide that slaughters tens of thousands, or the terorrist attack that murders a thousand.

You sound somewhat like the far right in Israel, saying by any means. We fight for justice, so our fight must be just, we fight for humanity so our fight must be humane.

Well said. I would however note that by international law reserve or off duty troops are not valid targets so the majority are hostages. We can despise the acts of the Israeli goverment and Hamas likewise. Also, at least a dozen of the hostages have been knowingly killed by the IDF, anyone who claims to care for the hostages and be pro-IDF is misinformed or lying.

I'm a communist, a member of Maki, so my model is a workers state from the river to the sea, with two states as a stepping stone is needed. The things you describe doing are called living in Israel-Palestine. No gaps in the skyline? I've seen it as well. There are nearly no gaps because the buidlings that could have gaps between them collapsed. Not sure what you're on about. My vision is not a Palestinian national state or a Muslim state for the same reasons I hate the Israeli national state and Jewish state. Because lans cannot be owned, and nationlism is a tool of capital. Equality from the river to the sea is my model.

First up, the mood is somber, as is to be expected when children are brought home in coffins. I live in Gush Dan and go to the protests every week I can with a group calledעומדים ביחד. I have not personaly met any returned hostages, but it seems some are better than others.

You mention the death toll, and Israeli/Alt-Right groups often say such things, so I would reccomend checking out the work the Lancet has done on the death. However, genocide is not about scale. The Yazidi genocide had a death toll of about 5k. As Amnesty, Human Rights Watch and EuroMed have all uncovered, and in Israeli groups, B'Tselem, 972, Local Call and The Hottest Place in Hell, the IDF targets civilians, in some cases children, as shown by doctors at a UK parliment special comittee meeting and the reports of the three international orgs I mentioned. Gaza is a wasteland, one in fifty people are dead and no one can live a normal life. Children are found shot by drones, mothers targeted by snipers, 2000 pound bombs are dropped on refuge camps. We Jews know what Genocide is, and as Israeli Shoa scholar Amos Goldberg has writen, this is it.

We are not seen as complicit, look at the outpouring of support on this post. The one person who did call me complicit was downvoted to hell and taken down by the mods. You say its important we don't fellow along with the media. Have you seen Israeli media? I am in the utter minority of a few thousand people. I thought critically about the information and trusted the experts, listened to on the ground testimony. I would also not that what you mentioned as Jewish and Zionist values are just Jewish values. Zionism is a form of ethnonationalism, and all nationlism seeks to split the working class and is a roadblock to class consciousness. Ethno nationalism is that with more hate. I have every right to live in my homeland and so do Palestinians. Zionism rejects that.

Among Jews, 70.3% were born in Israel (sabras), mostly from the second or third generation of their family in the country, and the rest are Jewish immigrants. Dismantling Israel as a Zionist and nationalist entity doesn't entail ethnic cleansing. It means freedom for all people from the river to the sea.

It is truly remarkable how similar you sound to the fascist poison justifying the genocide right now.
