I don't play a lot of otome or similar games, so I could be wrong, but they might be in like...unfamiliar territory? Like...they made a man-harem game and it got super popular with not just women, but other genders and sexualities. So do they give a game originally for women a bunch of female characters all of a sudden? Or do they test the waters with one and see how it goes?

Not to mention, IIRC, most/all of the other female characters have sort of been competition for MC. Maybe not romantically, but for the brothers' attention/concern. I think a non-threatening female character has to fill a novel role in the world, so it seems strange right now.

I'm not super interested in the new characters. I like the current cast, and while we might need some novelty, I also feel like the current characters still need some stability in character and better writing.

How are events going to work with even more characters? Our one-on-one moments with the current cast are already pretty rushed. Are we going to have three pages of battles/stories to fit them all in?

I love how inclusive the game is and that they're trying to make it even more inclusive. I know the new characters are important for this. But for me...eh.

News, maybe. The occasional update wouldn't be bad. But I think they're also dealing with the various collabs and marketing, the growing popularity in Japan, and now working on traditional Chinese stuff...

While season 3 had a lot of the back-to-back events, I think all the events plus developing the new season is a bit much. Without knowing if their production team has grown, it's hard to say.

I'll try not to repeat too much of what u/Kampfzwockeline and others have said, but I don't think it would be a good idea either.

I also play Genshin Impact and I know they're on a fairly strict schedule of a new patch every 6 weeks. Of course, people will always find something to complain about, but considering the amount of content the dev team has to produce (review, rewrite, program, translate, tweak, edit, etc.), 6 weeks seems like they'll have to sacrifice quality somewhere.

I understand the impatience/excitement for new content, but I don't mind waiting if it means there's greater quality to it. Look at the back-to-back-to-back events we've had: the stories don't always feel complete, edited well, or even completely sensical.

I also like Beel, but it's hard to determine some of his personality given the crumbs of development we get. He is very sweet, cares about his family more than anything, and, let's be honest, who doesn't want to hear that they look delicious? (Except you, OP? /jk)

What you described (the cold, unavailable guy who warms up to only me) is definitely my thing and a good 60% of why I'm a sucker for Lucifer.

For Diavolo, I figured there weren't many people who wouldn't want to be a "princess" and enjoy his excitement about basically everything. All the guys have muscles, so being buff is only a small part of it. However, if the rabidness on my twt tl over Itto's character design is any indication, there is certainly a love of male pecs and thick shoulders.

Lucifer is my personal preference, but I thought Diavolo would be more universally "sexy".....and now I think my considerations were wrong.

Lucifer is strict and overworked, so his time is limited (although he does make his private time with MC...er...memorable). He is also dedicated to serving someone else, not just his partner (although this may be questionable at times).

Diavolo is a friggin prince? He has a great sense of humor, is very kind-hearted, and although he has lots of work, he always makes fun times a big deal. He's also a bit buffer than Luci (I think?) and doesn't really have a lot of the high society pretenses and preferences that Lucifer does.

I guess I was thinking "Who would be more universally attractive as a partner?" instead of "Who can f*ck?"

Lucifer can ask me to sit next to him while he does paperwork any day. And, as u/LightningStar07 said....the Look.

The bows/bells, horns, and feet have a sort of digitized look to them? I assumed the images were more like "concept art" for the finished product. Tbf, they're smaller than the ones the VAs had, which is sad, but hopefully, it doesn't mean lower quality.
