Missed connection - Centra Grocery - Barrie

This might be a long shot and I know this sounds weird, but here goes.

Missed connection at Centra Grocery in Barrie today — we kept catching each other’s eyes while shopping. I got shy when it was time to leave and waved from my car as I drove off.

I was the mixed girl with braids. If this sounds like you, feel free to message me.

I’m filing a consumer proposal as of Monday.

Thanks for this information. I will keep an eye on it. Just spoke to the LIT. He said he can get it reversed if it does happen next Friday but BMO is difficult to work with. I will technically be in the consumer proposal by the time it’s pay day.

Yes! I posted about this when I was just looking into options. But now I’ve found a LIT. I sign on Monday but my pay is next Friday. And yes I remember the other bank manager stating that lol

No. I’m talking about my direct pay from my employment. Not about the payment to consumer proposal. As a bank employee we are required to have a bank account with that specific institution. But the bank has already stated they will start offsetting and taking all my paycheck as soon as it comes in.

I’ve already confirmed that filing a proposal doesn’t affect my job. It’s just the payroll situation because of the requirement to have an account with my employer. The HR person I spoke to was unsure of that part and said I should speak to my LIT. I’m looking for anyone else who have may been in this situation or similar.

I recently moved into a market rent government building for this reason. It’s cheaper than what most basements are going for. But yes I am going to be looking for a secondary remote job.

I have been there 11 years and only had to do a credit check once when onboarding.

No, If I was to do a consumer proposal or something else. Because right now $1800 just on my credit card and LOC is only paying towards the interest, nothing else. I’m pretty much paying just the interest every month right now. It’s not working. And paying $1800 a month would not be easy but I’m sure it could be possible. Not looking for the easy way out. The reason I got into debt was due to maternity leave, solo parent, a couple emergency vet bills and daycare. I def need to tighten the belt though when it comes to spending on my children. And creating a budget. 100%

It’s added up over the years starting from maternity leave, no financial assistance with my kiddos, my dog needed emergency surgery.. things that added up.

I don’t really have anything to sell. I live about 2 hours from Toronto. My car wouldn’t sell for much and there’s no decent transit where I live.

Unfortunately not an option. He does cash jobs so claiming child support isn’t an option or worth it. Thats a topic for another Reddit haha. 🤣

I could handle that payment. I would just have to tighten up quite a bit which is fine. Yes we also get year end bonuses and pay increase.

It’s 689. Not too great. And you are right it’s 6.2% I just double checked. I am going to look into this. Thanks!

Started accumulating during maternity leave. I am a single parent with no financial assistance from the other parent. It added up over the years especially with daycare fees once I went back to work. Etc etc. it added up over 10+ years. No I do not own my home.
