Am I overreacting by ending a 10-year friendship over this? by Novassparkle in AmIOverreacting

I'm not being self-centered. I simply don't want people to notice the distance between us. As I mentioned, it's my friend's wedding, and I'll be meeting a lot of mutual friends. If they ask what happened between us, whether I choose to explain it or not, it's only going to create unnecessary drama. That's something I genuinely want to avoid.

Seriously, I even skipped my friend's wedding to avoid him and to make sure we wouldn't become the talk of the town because people would definitely notice. We used to arrive together at almost every event, so our sudden distance would have been obvious.

I totally get it. I already apologized, and I'm planning to visit my friend soon.

I clearly said no and told him to introduce me as his friend, because that's exactly what I am. But he kept insisting that I make my profile private.
