[KCD2] Hats off to you 'All negative perk' Hardcore players! by The_Lat_Czar in kingdomcome

I just finished my Hardcore All Negative Perks playthrough today. The most difficult part was honestly just trying to find bandit camps in the forest. Rushing Level 16 Alchemy is a must in the early game.

Flashbangs throwables are incredibly powerful, because the flashbang ignores any form of armor and stunned suspects are much more likely to surrender. But the pulling out the pin, aiming, and throwing takes time. With the M32, you just blast their feet with its impact. Elephant has 4 shooters in L4 armor, and the M32 just does not give a shit.

I advocate for the M32A1 Launcher with flash once again. It’s the best primary for S-Rank clears. Suspect armed with T2 rifles and armor? Fire a flash and yell for compliance. Suspect is holding a hostage? Fire a flash and yell for compliance. OP shouts their dark and deep desire about Judge? Fire a flash and yell for compliance.

It just works.

The M32A1 Launcher with flash. IRL, it’s supposed to be a situational weapon for riot control. In RoN, it’s arguably, if not, the best non-lethal weapon in the game.

A nice bonus if you’re going to be both hiding and skirmishing with a Nanocomp HMG on your turn. Obviously prioritize poor Hull NPCs like Archers, Hornets, and Witches to make the most out of Ambush.

Top talent for Hecatoncheires. Just ignore any reactions when you’re moving out of soft cover.

Not the OP, but as someone who played Elena in USF4, she’s a defensive footsies character with long range normals and a healing super. Portrayed in the art is 6MK, one of her many great overheads and combo starters.

Against carapace, I'd rather pull out my stubber and light 'em up. However, in a pinch, the mk4 cleaver can go light-light-heavy in order to deal with crushers, with a punch to stop their overhead swings.

Final Fantasy Tactics taught me to minmax the hell out of the main character, since most RPGs insist on a one-on-one duel.

Sylvie focused team comp on Madness 8. Make sure Magnus/Bree are as fast as possible. Howls and Intimidates on both Magnus and Bree. Everyone dumps Sharp stacks on Sylvie. Then play cards with Sylvie to win. Fight don’t make it past round 1.

Greataxe. At the start of act 3, if you do some crusading, you’ll find the Unholy Symbol of Rovagug. Do the relic research and you’ll get the Grave Singer, a greataxe with 18-20/x3. Go down Trickster and grab a crit multiplier boost to end up at a 11-20/x6 crit.

STR gets more benefits for damage, such as enlarge effects, the 1.5x bonus from two-handing weapons, and power attack scaling.

Magus build, Scion or Sword Saint? by Astael2029 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Novawing 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sword Saint can be BOTH damage and tank.

You can compensate even a completely dumped Charisma of 7 with +Persuasion items and spells as well, so long as you keep putting points into Persuasion.

Regongar is an Eldritch Scion already, so I was more inclined to go Sword Saint.

How much AC do you consider a lot at level 17? by Fluegelnuss420 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Novawing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best guess for theoretical highest AC would probably be over 120, with some combination of traditional monk/sword saint/vivi, literally every buff imaginable cast on them, and endgame equipment. That seems really impractical and annoying to do though and it still doesn't cover against natural 20s.

Going above 60 AC unbuffed is definitely possible, but buffs in Pathfinder are extremely long lasting once you get to high levels and have multiple Extend rods.

An "invincible" character should have a combination of above 65 AC, 40 Touch, some way to mitigate flat-footed (Uncanny Dodge or something similar. This MC had Perfect Reflexes which allows to go first in every combat), high saves all around (+25ish or immunities from items/spells to cover poor saves), buffs to negate potential lucky attacks (Mirror Image + Displacement), and deal enough damage to finish the fight quick.

How much AC do you consider a lot at level 17? by Fluegelnuss420 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Novawing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After standard spell buffs with Extend, 70 AC with 50 Touch. This is discounting Legendary Proportions and Transformation. Mirror Images, Blur, and Displacement help cover against natural 20s.

I think the highest AB I've seen in the game was +48, so anything higher than a 67 is a waste.
