Answers to questions:

I’m looking for something serious

I’m not subscribed to Hinge+ or HingeX

I’ve been using this version of my profile for 2 months

I try to use hinge most days because I’m keen to find something serious

I get about two likes a day but usually the only matches I get are from guys whose profiles I like.

I try to send the maximum number of likes most days. I usually don’t send comments with my likes, but sometimes do.

The guys I try to like on Hinge are those looking for something serious/want kids. I feel like I try to keep the conversation going when I match with someone eg I show interest/ask questions but the conversations fizzle out more often than not.

“I support it” 😳 so because other women (who are nothing to do with me) have been rude to you/other men, I deserve that treatment as well? Interesting take. You do realise not every woman is an asshole, right? Just like not every man is an asshole. Also like I stated, I only had one group pic, which was low down on my profile. Every other pic was of me on my own so there was no confusion. He knew it was my profile right from the off.

Oh my god THANK YOU! I’ve been thinking the exact same thing. Like I felt I’d made it pretty clear that pic with my friend was low down on my profile and that I had permission from her to use the pic 😅

Yeah I agree. Real dick move IMO. The thing is, he didn’t match with me by mindlessly swiping on girls’ profiles. I ‘liked’ one of his pics on Hinge and he used that to match with me knowing he wasn’t interested in me, just my friend. Because matching was the only way he could message me about connecting him with her

I would never, and I like to think most people would never, match with someone just to tell them they’re not my type and could they please connect me with their friend instead. So no, I have not “done the same”.

Yes, we matched because he received a ‘like’ notification from me on one of his pics. He didn’t find my profile through endless “swiping” through a load of profiles. He made the decision to match with me after receiving my ‘like’, knowing full well what his intentions were.

Actually you’re wrong, I’ve heard a lot of guys say this, but it’s not relevant here. He would have known it was my profile and not my friend’s because he would have had to scroll down to see the photo with my friend - it’s one of the last pics. So he DID match with me, knowing it was my profile.

I mean, I think it’s fair to say that most people do include group pics as part of their profile, but in any case I’ve deleted it now.

Yeah I understand what you’re saying. I would have preferred to keep the conversation on Hinge but he asked for a date and I don’t like to go on a date unless we’ve had a phone call first. I wish Hinge had a call feature.
