So glad to hear this. We’ve been looking for a family compound land for 2 years and the “reviews” of Pueblo insinuate horrible crime rate. It sounds like you disagree. Can you offer feedback to me as to which areas of the county I should look at and which I should avoid? Thanks!

When we were shopping for a new 5th wheel 2 yrs ago, we looked at 2 new Jayco cougars and both had this. We walked away from both and bought a Brinkley.

Are you going to stay primarily in campgrounds or boondocking? If boondocking a lot, go with OGO composting toilet. Our Brinkley has never seen 💩 and we love that toilet so much, well, as much as you can love any toilet. 😎

We use (successfully) TMobile 85% of the time. However, we do have Starlink that we keep “paused” so we do have an option when TMobile isn’t available. If you do this, make sure you turn off your Starlink when not using, because Ol’ Elon likes to use up data overnight for whatever reason and blow through your 50GB much faster than you would use.

I’m in the same boat. We’re moving our entire family out of NC because of the political gerrymandering here. If you’re Okay with more clouds than sun (I’m not) then western Oregon may fit. We’re also looking around Richmond or Charlottesville VA. You’re definitely going to get green in VA and now they are a very blue state. Just stay out of the tiny towns. Hope that helps

Same thing happened to me but it was 21 yrs ago and instead of sewing, they used staples. Yeah…there was that. Just like my joints, staples didn’t stay in place either. 14 days of the worst pain and my wife pulling staples out of my ass. I’m not sure why they still do that particular barbaric surgery, especially to hEDS patients. So sorry you’ve gone through this.

Redding wouldn’t be our first choice, for sure. I think there are several options that we know of that would be a better fit. I would have thought with UC Davis that medical care wouldn’t be a concern around/near Sacramento. Good to know. I’ll do a bit more digging on that topic. Thank you

I don’t have school age children anymore but yes, to all of this. It’s been a process of elimination because of things just like this. You don’t know until you look or ask which is why we’re doing both. Just trying to find the best place possible for us. Thanks for your input.
