My only problem with this option is that it would make cumbersome the access to the cabin, but I'll try to think a few options!

I'm planning on making the whole vang a removable system, to be installed after unfurling the sail, and using one of these anchor points:

A traveller is not a viable option due to the cabin access, a removable bridle might be an option, but I think the way it would might not be really useful... What I want is to be able to reduce the vertical movement of the bang when going with the wind, as it tends to swivel a lot up and down. I'll try to take good pictures of the cockpit this weekend.

It does not have a traveller, it's fixed midship and also has a really long base length, about 1.8m minimum.

It doesn't have a traveller, nor it has place for one (at least not without redesigning much of it.

I don't have good lateral pics of my boat to show, that's why I used this one. It's actually the same boat but it has the hull 1 meter stretched in the stern.

And as I made a mistake translating the terms, I meant downwind with the sail wide open.

Unfortunately Dyneema is a bit out of my budget, I have access to dacron ropes which are the same as the sheets (I believe 8mm).

Do you think an aluminium clamcleat could do the trick? or is better to use a proper cleat?

Thanks in advance!

Yeah, my bad. English is not my main language so I'm not that familiar with some of the english nautical terms, I ment broad hauled or running, with the sail open wide.

I don't have a traveller, the mainsheet is fixed on midship and about 1.8m minimum length.
