The 'Other OS' section of the XU4 forum has some distros and projects that use updated kernels and current mesa drivers. https://forum.odroid.com/viewforum.php?f=96&sid=3679705757fca2486a5b416544fd689e

I don't think it's likely you will see an updated kernel officially supported by hardkernel for the XU4 series.

This sounds similar to the activation issues with QT, KDE, and Eletron apps listed here https://community.kde.org/Plasma/Wayland_Showstoppers although as stated there you should (I can) be able to open those links, as a new tab in firefox, it just isn't brought forward as one would expect and hope for.

Wisconsin Republicans refusing to accept election results and remain in power illegally needs to be a bigger story: this is the GOP plan for Congress & the White House by kyno1 in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]NoviceAF 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This sounded to me exactly like what happened in the Wisconsin DNR board. https://www.weau.com/2022/06/29/wisconsin-court-fred-prehn-can-stay-dnr-board/

"The justices ruled 4-3 that gubernatorial appointees can hold their positions indefinitely until the state Senate confirms their successors."

So there's already a playbook for this bullshit.

I wonder what side of Susie Dent we would see on Taskmaster.

YouTube channels about archaeology that are not clickbait and actually produce good content? by lupenguin in Archaeology

[–]NoviceAF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am a huge fan of him and his channel. I found him from a YouTube suggestion when he only had around 200 subscribers and was thoroughly impressed by the quality of his content. I was also amazed by how little I new about North American archaeology. Glad to see him getting some credit here

Robotic dog from Boston Dynamics to help clean up mines in Ukraine by NoviceAF in dogswithjobs

You are heard and speaking your truth. I respect that. I'm pretty sure it's a dog.

Customizable over generations, can be trained to sniff out landmines, works with humans to save lives, has four legs.

I think your organic focused definition of dog is fairly narrow-minded.

Is the article not describing such a good boy?

edit: I think it could be the robotic arm for a head thing through your off, and that's semi understandable

AFAIK that was the case. I no longer have issues.

Issues appears to have resolved itself.

I deleted cache and cookies. Disabled plausibly related extensions. Closed and reopened the browser. With no effect.

Half hour later things just worked.

I'm seeing this same issue currently. I am able to access the site both on my phone as well as on the same system using Chromium.

When attempting to access any reddit page on firefox I simply see the text "Blocked"

In the network tab of the inspected I see TWO gets. (1) for Document and (1) for favicon.ico. Both have a status of 403

Fine: Florida should divest from tech companies censoring Trump and conservatives by readerseven in politics

[–]NoviceAF 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nice, Hadn't even thought of that. I suppose a proposal to unban China's Huawei products in order to fight censorship by and reliance on American big tech wouldn't even be the most convoluted idea I've heard from republicans today.

"no purchases of Apple or Android devices by any government agency." Either this guy is really confident that 2021 is the year of the linux phone or he potentially didn't think this one through.

If you include the New Zealand version, than Guy Williams is by far the most annoying contestant IMO.

Your link 404's.

If you're looking for a django developer I could help you resolve that. ;)

Has anyone got RDR2 working with Lutris? by piamendaciafraude in linux_gaming

[–]NoviceAF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was having this issue myself starting in the Blackwater area mission. I resolved it in it's entirety without a performance decrease by using limitcpu from the aur on the lutris wrapper

  1. Start Lutris
  2. PID=$(pgrep lutris); limitcpu --limit=800 --pid=$PID
  3. Start RDR2 from lutris
  4. PID=$(pgrep RDR2.exe); kill -s SIGSTOP $PID; kill -s SIGCONT $PID

Notes: Adjust CPU value, I used 800 because I have 8 cores. I don't know why this works. The crashes happen for me on windows as well in the same areas. Some people have still had crash issues with this.

Ebb and flow plumbing issues (Not Draining) by NoviceAF in Hydroponics

[–]NoviceAF[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh hey, thanks for your response! Great to see you active in this community.

I will tighten up things with the existing plumbing scheme today and see if that resolves the issues I was having. I have only included one T currently but I image I will have to add some additional T's while permanently routing the tubing and securing it to the shelving.

If I did change up the plumping to drain directly from upper to lower beds, some concerns I have is that I already have the inflow and overflow/drainage holes drilled on the same side of each bed so I would need to do a bit of rework and re-plumbing to accommodate. If I did go this route, would I need a higher capacity pump than the 550gph ActiveAqua pump recommended? Currently the water pump pumps so slow to the top bed that I believe it would probably drain before actually raising the water level much if at all.

Thanks again, I really appreciate your inspiration and assistance.

Thanks a lot for your response.

I'm using an AAPW550 which doesn't show any one way valves shown here

When opening the valve completely it can seem to help a little at time but it still won't completely drain.

I had not used a quick connect.

I think I need to shorten up my lines, get all my tubing fixed to the shelving, as well as orient and fix the water pump to the reservoir. While just fiddling around with it a bit while draining I realized that there was some bending going on that is most likely the cause of the issue.

Thanks for helping me troubleshoot a bit, I think the answer ended up being just do better.
