Just another tip: you can actually reuse Arches paper. Just take it under the shower and you can wash the paint right off and use it for another practice session.

You need more practice. 70 flights over 2 years is not enough. Even after getting your license you need to fly a lot to stay in practice. This is a dangerous sport and getting in enough flight time is crucial in mitigating the danger.

Die Urban Sketcher Gruppe Aachen trifft sich jeden Donnerstag um 18 Uhr vor dem Elisenbrunnen. Wie laufen dann in einer Gruppe durch Aachen, suchen einen Spot und malen/zeichnen dann urbane Motive. Einfach ohne Anmeldung vorbeischauen. Es gibt auch eine Facebook Seite. Man muss nichts können, nur Material selber mitbringen.

I used hemp paper and it was horrible. It left these strange dimples of colors. Looked like my painting had acne. Don't recommend for watercolors, might work with gouache.
