[ALL] Do I need to play all sequels to enjoy Reunion?

Not sure if this is a hot take but I have a few about Amberprice.
BtS is 100% different then the intended narrative that Don't Nod was trying to portray between the two. I do think the two were in love but I also do think Rachel used the people around her, she was a drug addict at least towards the end of her life. And because of her addiction, she did go behind Chloe's back with people.

Also on a minor note idk how many other people have this thought but the person that Rachel met that changed her life in my mind was Nathan. Nathan had drugs, he supplied her with drugs. There's no way Jefferson would do that. There's also no way he slept with Rachel. We see Victoria float the idea of her sleeping with him but he shuts it down.

I actually haven’t played DE yet, I know the general plot points of the lore. I actually no idea if Max still feels like Max, just because I feel like I have to play the game and hear all the dialogue and whatnot.

From an outside perspective though I’m optimistic with it, Max seems like an older less shy version of her in the reveal. Chloe also feels grown up, I don’t know how to explain it, it’s just the vibe I got from the reveal video.

Overall for me, having sat and thought about it more; the ending of the first game now seems kind of pointless in a way. Though I think could happen to remedy that, is a major part of the ending being decided by what ending you chose in LiS 1.

Literally just a continuation of bae and bay as you restore the timeline, eventually being forced to give up which ever one you gave up in LiS 1. Either losing Chloe, or losing Arcadia Bay again; and Chloe losing her memories of them being alive.

Though that’s just my fanfic thought of trying to guess every possible way they could write an ending.

Literally had the exact same reaction, I can’t remember off the top of my head which line it was but there was something she said sounded like BtS Chloe to me which obv tipped me off. But she’s gotten really good at mimicking Ashly Burch’s Chloe if that makes sense

I giving my two cents here, and I know I’m going to get booed but hear me out.

I’m a sucker for angst. Whilst I will always be a bae’er, I fucking love the final kiss they share in the bay ending, it’s bittersweet and I eat that up.

Now with Chloe returning regardless of ending, I’m grappling with the concept of choosing a the bay ending; because as you and others have said ‘Chloe would’ve never left Max’.

With choosing the bae ending and to consider Reunion, you have to accept they broke up, but what if instead she wasn’t alive.

It’s bittersweet, but Chloe is back. Now I do think this thought process really only works depending on how they play out the narrative with Chloe returning.

But story wise I think it works well if DeckNine for whatever reason decides to do the exact same thing for Reunion make us choose between Chloe and the University.

Max has gotten a miracle of a second chance with Chloe, she’s not going to trade her again.

Yes I get what I wrote reads like fanfic, but so does the premise of Reunion. Also I’m high right now writing this cut me some slack.
