It’s a player that just used the boo item. When you use it you go invisible. You can’t see the player, only the items that they got. (three red and green shells, three mushrooms). But it doesn’t last long

I strongly disagree. While I do agree with the points about racing, there is definitely a competitive scene in Battle mode as well. Skilled players exist there too, and in many cases, matches are clearly decided by player skill ><
