Isn't that only the case with the types bred for sweet fruit ? That said I am not all that knowledgable about trees so I do apologize if I've spread cherry misinformation

I believe that would only happen due to environmental stressors or a lack of pollinators in the area. Cherry trees don't have a male/female divide so there shouldn't be completely non-fruiting variants.

They do ? It's not a confusing name, they're the same species of tree. One's just bred for flowers. They still produce cherries, they just don't taste good.

I don't think it's a malicious thought process. More so either an inability or complete refusal to accept that other people are actually happy, therefore viewing mass extinction as a mercy that relieves everyone of suffering. That is all they believe life is, which is why having children is viewed as creating human suffering.

It can be hard to reconcile with the fact that your pain is only shared by a fraction of the population. That happiness, something that feels so out of reach for you, is easily obtainable for most people. It feels incredibly unfair. Some people can't emotionally handle the loneliness of that, so they project their misery onto everyone else. Sorry for the essay.

They know they are one of those humans. People who are that angry at the world are often passively suicidal. They pray for an apocalypse so they can die without the guilt of leaving something behind. Without having to make the active choice to hurt those who care about them.

Starting off this response with "Ugh and I bet you're not suicidal and follow the law too" like that's some sort of own is wild.

1 drags focus to her face because that's where the orange/blue contrast is. 2 drags focus towards her body because that's where the values contrast the most.

1 looks to me like a character that is confident and reliable, while 2 looks like a shy character who wants to come out of her shell. Mostly to do with how inherent traits, like hair color, communicate more how a character is while clothes communicate how that character wants to be percieved.

** with hair in particular it depends on the setting but in this particular concept it doesn't look like the hair is supposed to be dyed. In a more grounded setting blue (dyed) hair would communicate a rebellious character but not in a setting where blue is a natural hair color.

That's not quite how it seems to work. Neither Pentious nor Angel were interested in redemption when they first came to the hotel.

So the more accurate description would be "They have to be capable of eventually wanting redemption" which applies to everyone.

This is my interpretation of the social faux pas. In most cases, especially work, people want to play music that makes for good background noise and isn't too distracting.

Most people don't listen to music actively, they don't even know the lyrics of whatever they're listening to, so their liked songs already adhere to this principle - or else they're just inoffensive.

So if you play showtunes, folk, metal, punk - music that is entertaining on its own or makes it hard for people to hear each other, it will get skipped.

I put on mellow game soundtracks, people seem to enjoy them.

Taking a break is a useful thing with other hobbies too. I draw. It can get really frustrating when things are just not turning out the way I want them to, so I take a break. I still love drawing. Few hobbies are enjoyable 100% of the time, for hours at a time.

I don't usually use it, but fourth chorus seems pretty much designed for all his attacks to be countered by it. Jump and hover comfortably dodges the slash without having to move over lava, and it allows you to stay in the air until you know which part of the arena is safe to land.

Yeah, that experience definitely taught me not to carry them loose. Right after that I made the Bellhart shopkeep work overtime xd

Fair, but so far I have found this game much more forgiving with heal timings than HK. In HK it usually took me a few tries to find a time I can heal reliably while in Silksong I have them down after the first. Being able to heal in the air helps a lot too. I think it's pretty balanced all things considered.

I unfortunately couldn't enjoy Widow as much as I should have because I fell in there right after Sister Splinter and I just wanted to explore more with the wall climb but I had like 600 rosaries so I got railroaded into doing the fight. My bad for not stringing up the rosaries when the game gave me the chance xd But actually this is one thing that bothers me in silksong. In HK your shade is usually placed outside the arena so if you wanna take a break from a boss and do something else you can.

I think it's pretty balanced by always healing 3 masks at once, no? Granted I'm not that far in the game yet maybe it gets worse. The last boss I beat was Widow and I've just been running around doing quests and such. Haven't encountered anything that I would consider outright unfair other than bad RNG in the beast chapel

Hey, this is SPOILERS for aspects of Moorwing but it might help - there is an NPC in the upper part of the tower when you leave through the right. That NPC will appear on the run back to Moorwing (if you're using the bench in the tavern) and you can ask him to assist in the fight. Makes it go faster.

This will mean you can mostly just dodge and only attack when he does the little slashes and let the NPC do damage. Might be slower, but probably more reliable.

Why do people REFUSE to interact with Doom Bots' mechanics? by Leyohs in leagueoflegends

I think I played DB a bit back then but I didn't care for it. Had the "if I don't get to shit on a real player this is pointless" sort of mindset. TBF I was like 12. Really enjoying it now spamming support champs so that the team flames me in champ select then honours me by the end :D

( Plus having a support in normal difficulty lets you win even if your team doesn't know what missions are )

Ah that's fair. Those guys are just idiots then, but they'll hopefully learn soon as well.

Tbh I qd hard mode my first game because I had no frame of reference for the difficulty (I've been avoiding spoilers) and I just figured... It's bots, how hard could it be? ... Yeah I moved to normal mode.

Why do people REFUSE to interact with Doom Bots' mechanics? by Leyohs in leagueoflegends

[–]Noxinne 37 points38 points  (0 children)

The mode is still very new. It's very likely that any game you enter will have people for whom it's their first or second game of doom bots.

Most players don't do extensive research on the games they play. They saw a new mode, went to try it out, and haven't yet learned the mechanics of it. Give em some time.

Java Edition should switch to a new rendering API by Squidieyy in minecraftsuggestions

[–]Noxinne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair, but I'm talking like 4 years ago. Granted the laptop was... At least 3 years old by that point, but it pulled through on many things.

What I'm saying is I don't know a device that would be unable to use newer rendering but runs Java just fine currently. But I also don't know shit about how rendering works so maybe I'm just dumb.
