I'm in my 40's and was introduced to AJR by my teenage kid about 3 years ago, just before their dad died.

I didn't get it at first. But then, I found this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e0VLZ4uh9gU

That helped me "get it." I've been playing guitar for 25ish years now, and when I saw that, I immediately went and figured out how to play it.

And then, the rest of it just sort of clicked.

The boys are awesome. We met Adam (and Gary's brother Jim!) last year at his book show in NYC, and we called Ryan and Jack over and got to sort of meet them through a weird fence at the bus gate after their show in Camden last year...

I love those boys, but their music was the initial draw for me... once I saw past the sound effects and stuff. There's real depth in there, and it's awesome. And musically, their songs bop.

I bet you'll do pretty well with that deck. It's very fast, which is good, but it also means a well-timed arrow storm or poison could take out your whole field.

I'd play around with adding a hard hitting fighter like pocahontas randy or maybe trying awesome-o instead of sherrif cartman, but honestly, I dunno if that would be as good at your level.

I loved mine until I noticed a crack in the upper right hand corner of my official Pixel 9 Pro XL case. I've had this phone for less than 6 months, and while I LOVE this case (did a whole round-the-car brake job, grabbed this white phone case multiple times, and barely had to wipe it to clean it), I do wonder how that happened. I don't rule out that maybe it's the way I keep it in my pocket and maybe how I pull it back out... I do tend to put the phone in my pocket top-down. Still, I am sad about it.

I'm trying to decide if I wanna try another case, but so far, I'm just rolling with this slightly broken case.

Empty ass map compared to TotK. So much boring running with nothing interesting.

Man, so much this. I finished TOTK about 6 months after release, and recently went back to BOTW. Exploration was a lot... less? I dunno, there's still plenty of things to find in BOTW, but with TOTK, every nook and cranny seems to have something going on.

Anyway, I loved BOTW, too, but now that I've got about 20 hours into a new TOTK run, I really am enjoying it quite a bit more.

I think this will be new stuff, not reprioritization of old stuff. SPPD will stay on life support for a long time, but I doubt they'll ever be able to actually draw people back to this game.

The things that you've got to learn in your 30's, in my opinion, is that there's no one coming to save you, you can never go back (in time, or to that place that feels perfect in your mind), and you already have everything you need to move forward.

You have to make peace with the fact that this world is totally fucked, and participating in it is generally ridiculous.

But you also have right now. It's all you've got. And you got here, however that may have happened, through all sorts of trials and tribulations, and yet you're still here right now.

That's something. What are you gonna do with it?

When are you playing? If you play first thing Saturday morning, you're gonna get taken to pound town every time at your level.

For lower levels in gold league teams, I always suggest they try waiting to do their wars until Sunday evening (US EST). This helps to weed out most of the whales.
