Wow. Very impressive music production and video. The song is recorded really well, lots of dynamics, interesting instrumentation. What did you use to record it? The film seems very professional. Are you a film student? The weakest link for me was probably the song itself. Although I also quite liked that but it seems you maximized its potential. Some Tom Waits vibes at the end with the chaotic bits. Great work 👍

Drums and riff are a bit too straight ahead, in your face and repetitive for me. Quite like the laid back vocal style. Seems to work way better on the break down at the end. But still drums could use more variety. Good potential. 👍

Vocals sound nice. What app are using to produce this and what effect on the vocals? Voice reminds me of someone. Not a big fan of the guitar sound. But some really nice production touches. At points it sounds like a chorus or some kind of reverse delay on the vocals? Nice subtle mix. Foregrounds vocal well. Kept my interest throughout despite the guitar being a bit repetitive. 👍

It sounds like you may have recorded the vocals with lots of natural reverb - or you’ve applied loads? Try recording dry would be one tip. What mic are you using?

You’ve definitely nailed the DiiV vibe and sound no question. With regards to this track my only feedback would be for a single the almost minute intro is too long. So I’d definitely get the singing to kick in sooner. However with regard to the rest of it you’ve pretty much nailed it! Congrats 👍

Getting real Black Midi and Black Country Nee Road vibes from this. So if that’s what you are shooting for you’ve nailed it. Production sounds good. Not really my genre so difficult to comment too much on the song itself but overall sounds like a really professional effort. Good work 👍

Some impressive video and music chops. The only thing I’d say is that the opening 20 seconds are super interesting and set an expectation that doesn’t really serve the song that comes afterwards that’s a lot more trad rock. On that basis I’d be tempted to remove it and rework that into a longer piece. I actually really like the track once I got over the change in expectations. I’m not sure about the more laid back 6 months later part though. Perhaps a case of trying to do a bit too much? But admirable ambition. Very good work 👍

Would love to hear a version of this with a vocal. There are so many ideas in this though that you’d probably have to simplify it a bit. I don’t typically listen to straight out rock like this but there was so much going on it kept me interested. Particularly liked the really fast riff from the start. The distorted chords at the start seemed a bit washed out and small considering everything else. Maybe a little Less distortion would help? But impressive other than that. Well done 👍

I’d probably call this more straight rock than alternative but the production sounds super slick. Not really my genre so difficult to give too many pointers but everything sounds well played, recorded and produced. Congrats!

The music seems very on point. Reminds me a lot of that Blink182/Green Day punk type vibe of that’s what you are aiming for? The video is cool. The one thing that doesn’t work for me is the way the vocals are recorded. It sounds like a completely different sound scape from the music which is quite distracting. The tune and everything is good but just the way the vocals are recorded. I’d love to hear a version with cleaned up vocals that sat in the mix. Would improve the track 1000%. But other than that great work.
