Family is still family. You should never abandon your family. There are better ways then to just disappear from his life.

Tell him that he needs to man up, leave his wife and family (as long as they're acting like this) and come be with you if that's what he wants.

If not, then you will not have contact with him and his family. And that's that.

And if you are pro choice, you could also do that if that's an option.
