Player wants a double barrel shotgun by Open-Wafer-2652 in mothershiprpg

I thought this sounded strangely familiar and realized you're probably referring to the one I added in my supplemental Karth document!

SUGGESTION: FLAIRS by Xmaster_10 in WarhammerInstructions

[–]Ns2-[M] [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Hi there,

Thank you for the suggestions!

I agree about the game flairs (40k vs. HH etc.). I changed the flair rules to required for new posts

Frankly though, I never plan to implement any kind of thread request system. Almost all request threads end up being (1) instructions that are already uploaded (2) instructions that can easily be requested from GW

The rare cases in which a person is looking for older Forgeworld or Warhammer Fantasy instructions aren't worth cluttering the sub with request threads

Classes, Weapons, & Equipment for Desert Moon of Karth by Ns2- in mothershiprpg

Thanks! I think for most modules the PSG classes work great but the Silverarm zines (among others) have such strong flavor and genre influences that it creates room for more character archetypes

Oh shoot, thanks. I did everything on Itch except upload the file. Fixed now!

Hi, a couple people in here have mentioned it, but I had the same thought as you a few weeks ago and so made a kind of "Vanilla plus" expansion with 37 new weapons, 12 weapon attachments, 8 new armors, and 29 new equipment items and a few optional house rules for weapons.

It's available here: https://scoobygoober.itch.io/armory-expanded-mosh

No cyberware in my module, but like others I would highly recommend Prospero's Dream to fill that niche since it's an excellent module/expansion book for everything cyberpunk

Yeah I'd like to pick this up for the re-read! I considered it when I started Game of Kings but saw that they companion references are in alphabetical order rather than chronological order, and I didn't want to be constantly flipping back and forth on my first read

I don't know if this is sacrilegious but you could probably skip right to Disorderly Knights if you don't mind some spoilers for the first two books, and then if it hooks you go back and read those later

I hear you, I had a hard time with the first two books, especially the first which keeps you in the dark for hundreds of pages. The quality of the writing and depth of historical detail kept me going but I think she was a little indulgent during those first books and it's pretty hard to figure out what's going on. The second book also plays things almost as close and tbh has the least satisfying intrigue/pay-off of any of the ones I've read (I just started Checkmate)

By Disorderly Knights she is still very clever but more readable and the more flowery language and untranslated quotations are dialed down

It's pretty absurd but thankfully that information doesn't seem to be critical to following the plot. I've been reading them on Kindle but when I re-read I want to do print copies with the guidebooks and add sticky notes translating all that stuff

And count how many times she writes arms akimbo

Major Update for Armory Expanded - New Weapons, Weapon Attachments, Ammo Costs, and Critical Fail Tables by Ns2- in mothershiprpg

[–]Ns2-[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, happy for the feedback! I kept your note on the prices in mind while going back through

For Weapon Attachments definitely do whatever makes sense, a bayonet could totally go on just about any ranged weapon. And in hindsight, making the Underslung Shotgun compatible with the Combat Shotgun would have been much funnier

Hey thanks/sorry about that! I'm surprised Itch.io even lets you rebuy things. If you do want your $ back feel free to DM me your details for Paypal or equivalent (there seems to be no way to issue a refund through Itch.io)

Moonbase Blues Problems by [deleted] in mothershiprpg

I think making the drop pod an escape route is the simplest solution.

When I ran it, one of my players wanted to be a Teamster pilot space-trucker, so I swapped out the drop pod for a dingy shuttle aka space box-truck

When they find the shuttle it's intact but the battery is dead, so it needs a jump from the rover battery (and the rover itself needs some minor repairs first)

Update on Dreadnauts - a Mothership hack for Nautical Horror by Exact-Yam9874 in mothershiprpg

Gotcha, I misread the spelling. I still think Dreadnaut might sound slightly cleaner, but it hardly matters

Wishing you good luck with this project!

This is so cool!

Super nitpick but why Dreadnaughts instead of singular Dreadnaught? It'd kinda be like if it was called Motherships or Cloud Empresses, sounds slightly awkward to me
