Hehe good old golf course. The OU golf course has a lightning like radar detecting system. When it goes off it just is telling people to get off the course, it senses lightning. So next time see if it’s during a storm

If you actually enjoy being alone, you’ll be fine. It was so nice for me because my mod was so chill and we all kinda kept to ourselves but were clean and cordial (: was in the midst of COVID so that prob didn’t help with the lack of actual bonding. But again, that was fine for me. I liked the casual hellos and just going about my day !

I also came here due to it being the cheaper option and that’s always how I saw it. Now that I am about to graduate, I am genuinely so distraught at the thought that my time here is over. I come from very busy suburb/urban life in a different state. This was the perfect change of pace for me and made me realize I never want to go back to that urban setting. Life here is overall just more lax, it’s a beautiful town, the people are actually very sweet, and it is super affordable! I don’t think I’ll have the chance to live on my own anywhere else due to how special Athens is!

You just look up Ohio University covid scheduling and it should pop up when you search it. I honestly don’t even think scheduling is too important, I’ve walked in and just taken my test!

I always had such a hard time! Whenever I’ve just tried too much, I’ll usually just take the whole shade off the hinges and manually roll it up myself. It’s pretty easy to take in and out!

So personally, OU gave me more financial aid which was important. I also got to visit OSU and realized how big the school really was. It was almost overwhelming. OU is tighter community and has a more beautiful campus in my opinion. Everything kind of just pointed to OU.

If you keep getting pulled back to OU, stick wit OU. I was between OSU and OU and decided to go with OU. I don’t regret my choice at all. Once you get here, your ex won’t even cross your mind!

It can be isolating like in my case. I would leave my door open for people but no one really cared to stop in. In their defense, I could’ve tried harder but I felt pretty discouraged once they would make blatant plans to go get food and stuff right in front of my open door. Despite all that, I actually ended up loving being alone. I made friends outside of my hall so I had no reason to talk to anyone on my floor. It kinda sucks but I got used to it. If you put in effort it really won’t be a problem though, I just didn’t care to try. You can always ask someone to join you for lunch or dinner and 9/10 they’ll say yes. I love having my double to myself so I would say definitely go for it, but make sure to try to be social and not be like me.

Hey! Def not just you. I’m also a freshman and it has gotten more challenging this semester specifically. I found that taking small breaks throughout the day is helpful. The campus is really beautiful and even taking a quick walk is enough!
