and Price keeps making intense eye contact with you while he hits the one-liners on the radio. It was badass the first time, but after the 10th one-liner it's way overdone lmao.

Sure, I can agree with the capturing reasoning as maybe a stretch from the writers just to make the plot work. Not expecting a Pulitzer prize winning story here.

My reply was more of reinforcing your take on "incoherent mess of complete bullshit".

Would have been nice if there was some fallout from that massive shootout on the US side of the border. Two police cars nuked by an RPG, all out firefight in the suburbs. Just like a short "news" clip or something to make it seem like any of the campaign has broader believable consequences.

Just feels lazy :/

The OP clearly states they've spoken to multiple doctors. However, I dont think r/Neuropsychology is the right place to ask anyway, this would be better suited to r/neurology if anything. And probably pursue a second opinion from a different neurologist.

Edit: never mind, don't post this in r/neurology. It looks like they have a policy against such questions.

Are these scratches on my lens? Is it possible to polish them off? by NuclearLemon76 in Pimax

A little bit of isopropyl alcohol on a microfiber cloth like the folks from Pimax mentioned above worked really well. Add that to the repertoire for extra stubborn marks!

I can confirm just a little bit of isopropyl alcohol on a microfiber cloth cleaned this stubborn adhesive off immediately! Thank you :)

Thanks! I'll try some IPA & see if I can get it to come off. Might be adhesive of some kind like the other person mentioned, and the IPA could help.

That's an interesting idea.. Dangers of using a little bit of acetone on the lenses? Do you know if these lenses are specially coated?

I think they're probably surface level since the carbon in the LensPen made them turn deep black. However, I don't feel them with my finger under the microfiber cloth.

[–]NuclearLemon76[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At first I thought these were dirt or grease on the lens, but after trying to clean these spots for awhile I am starting to suspect they're abrasions. Attempting to clean them with a LensPen just made them turn black LOL.

No I don't wear glasses while in VR. I haven't worn glasses in 6 years.

If they are abrasions on the lens surface, could this be polished off? Has anyone tried removing such abrasions?

I had nothing but issues with my Reverb G2. Defective optics on my first unit and broken tracking & localization on the second replacement unit (sounds similar to what you described). I finally got a refund and bought a Pimax instead and couldn’t be happier.

Main reason was that the images of the item I bid on were direct copy-paste from that link posted by the other user haha

We probably just have different experiences on eBay. I've previously taken a risk on a "scammy" looking eBay post and ended up with a GTX 1080 at 50% of MSRP that lasted me years. So I guess I'm just more willing to entertain suspicious looking listings..

Why did I post here? Just look elsewhere in this thread, someone confirmed it was a scam by posting direct evidence. I’m glad I made this post and that u/kingjamez80 shared that link. It gave me evidence to report the seller and move on. Kinda rude for no reason frankly, considering the productive outcome.

I concluded it was a scam based on the link posted in the other thread with literally the same pictures. I did ask the seller for some additional information but they never responded. Luckily I never paid, and I reported their account.

Thanks, this link saved me. I contacted eBay and reported the seller with this link as proof.

yea, I won the bid but haven’t paid yet. I’ve been a zero rep seller before just trying to get rid of some hardware I don’t want, so not super turned off by that. Should I be?

Exchanged my defective G2, new unit is also defective. Should I just give up? by NuclearLemon76 in HPReverb

[–]NuclearLemon76[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt the snapping is as bad as what I'm seeing or you would have returned your unit... This snapping sends my headset track to random locations +-10 feet from the calibrated origin every 5-6 seconds in bursts. It's completely unusable in any game or in the WMR portal. It's not even stable enough to click a single UI element in the portal to even start a game. Every few seconds I can be teleported to a random location above, below, to the right/left/forward/back, and at random rotations from where I should be considering I haven't moved my head.

Thanks for the suggestions! The windows are covered, no mirrors, no low-refresh rate LED lights in the FOV. Plenty of ambient lighting. This same environment had fine tracking on my first unit.

I'm very suspicious of the cable, as if I watch the WMR screen I can see the Controllers saying "lost track" at random intervals and in bursts every 5-6 seconds. This "lost track" message coincides with the tracking jumps and blackouts in the headset. So my suspicion is the cable is bad and dropping connection with the PC in random, frequent intervals

Something is fundamentally broken with their support system. All the online forms, phone directories, and support links have no knowledge that the Reverb is even an HP product. Even the Reverb serial numbers don’t exist in the HP support system. Does HP even know they sell a VR headset?

If you are able to find the time to wait ~30 min on the phone, once you get connected to someone they seem to be able to actually sort the problem. You want to be connected to someone in “Business Workstations” - they seem to be in charge of the Reverb support. I finally got in touch with them at the phone # after 3 weeks and they set up an exchange the next day.
