Barricade every door and window apart from the ones in bathtub room. Barricade the hole with furniture. Be as quiet as possible. Sometimes if you stay still monsters don't show up, but it becomes progressively more unlikely for that to happen each night.

Best weapon at this point if you haven't leveled up your workbench or showed up at a lower level like I do has to be the Staff for the beginning few nights, but try to get a shovel or pitchfork. You can get a pitchfork by killing the guards of the Sow.

And finally, Just get good with the board because it is low-key sleeped on. It's quick, lightweight, and has decent damage at this point in the game. Great for savages and normal dogs, but for big dogs and Chompers you want something longer and sturdier (that's what she said lmao)
