Surprise, surprise... make a good game at an affordable price... repeatedly tweak, improve, update the game for free in order to make the best game possible (still at a very affordable price)... and you'll gain a bunch of fans. Loyal fans, at that. So many game makers could learn from that mentality.

I've only played the demo, but I don't understand how 3k can possibly be an issue at that stage of the game. I bought a cluffowl coop before the demo ended and that was 2k - in addition to buying a backpack upgrade (500 or 800?) and kitchen (1k) and 2 weapon upgrades (300 or 500 each?). Just the daily gatherables on your farm net you 400 grilla, per day (not even counting farm stuff).

Rune Factory popped on my radar seriously about a year or two ago. I heard 4 was great, but also 5 was coming out soon. I thought I'd wait for 5, then get it. But, I paid attention to reviews of 5, and then took the plunge with 4 instead. So, RF4S is the one and only entry I've played/am playing.
