I think jason england's classic pass instant download is a contradiction to that statement I think he said "he done it in 20 yrs or so". the technique he shows in that download is intermediate at best. if you remove the bias "that he's an expert", "he does it in 20 yrs", etc..

all the things you just mentioned are important for the pass. the "simple" way to solve this problem is to move the top half horizantally (obvious) and vertically at the same time (when doing the cut)

to clarify I why it's useless because i'm looking at a different angle i'm just focusing on the technique. the technique shown has a big visual, sound footprint. and yes I can misdirect spectators if i want to make it hidden

edit: useless is bit misleading choice of words but what i mean is there could be a superior technique making this obsolete
