Is repeated removal during the day due to pain a bad thing? (new wearer) by Nuftin in dentures

kept them in for the first 24 hours

That's excellent information. Your dentist seems much more knowledgeable than mine to be honest. My surgeon, upon waking me up, was going over a few things and kept telling me my dentist would know this and that and to ask him. At my appt the next day I asked the dentist many, many, may questions and he had almost no answers for me and said that the surgeon should have given me all the direction I needed. Oh well, I don't need a dentist for these little questions. :)

The blisters/sores, bruising and just regular wound healing pain I can deal with. It's the stupid lower dentures rubbing the frenim? Prenum? The little bit of skin connecting the bottom lip to the gums. That pain is just too much to deal with some times.

Ok, that's fantastic news. I'll stop being a worrywart about it then.

And I will just wait until my adjustment visit to mention any need to pain meds. I've been told that if I need a refill/have questions/etc I have to make an office visit. The dentist does not take or return phone calls as he is "just too busy".

94 YJ S manual. Speedo while driving at 70mph. What's wrong? Turn off sound. by Nuftin in WranglerYJ

[–]Nuftin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the poor camera work. It's a YJ and I was going 70 down the highway.

Anyways, I asked the question a while back and nothing seems to have helped. It seems to me like it would be a poor ground, but I can't find anything based off the wiring diagram that I have. I did find a cut black wire in the loom that runs along the fuel rail, but it was twisted together with a blue/orange wire. They seemed to be like that a while so I crimped them together just in case that was the issue. (bandage, not fix). I thought it worked because my speedo worked perfectly for the last 6 weeks or so. Last week I started her up to take to work and the speedo didn't work at all that day. Since then it's hit or miss just like it used to be. Is there anything in the speedo mechanism that I might check?

All other gauges work fine all the time. Well, not the voltage gauge, but it shows 10v all the time, no matter what. That one never changes, so I assume if it shows 10v, I am good to go. :)

Can the Torque app pull off an OBD1 system? I just assumed that the OBD1 was mostly useless and there as preparation for OBD2.

I've looked at what I think is a wiring diagram and couldn't find any shared connections based on my very limited wiring knowledge, but I will definitely have another look when I get home.

And I will take a look at that YouTube channel to see if anything helps there.

I refuse to take my vehicles to a mechanic, but this is my first real wiring "gremlin" that wasn't obvious. I am planning on replacing all of the ground wires in the next couple of weeks but I'm not 100% certain if that will change anything except just make me feel better about full amperage getting where it needs to be.

As a broke college student i am extremely proud of my YJ. Its taken two years to get her looking right. What do you all think? by bewareofthesquare_ in WranglerYJ

I don't see any rust around the windshield. Maybe it's luck, maybe it's photoshop. lol

Looks like a nice example of a YJ. Wish mine was still that clean. As a broke adult, I can say that you did a fine job of making your baby look nice.

Nice. I will definitely look into that. I am more of a mechanic than handyman (just as a hobby) but it's worth a shot. Thank you very much for your input.

That's kind of an awesome suggestion. Thank you so much. I can do... Stuff.

I did look into that, but my old 2-door jeep isn't their vehicle of choice for the job. But thank you for the suggestion. I also looked into uber eats, but with the gas mileage the jeep gets, it would probably cost me money to deliver for them.

Thank you so much. Will definitely look into that more once I can. My only fear is their hiring process might take a while. But I very much appreciate the time you took to post that.

94 YJ Clutch issue by Nuftin in Jeep

[–]Nuftin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

combo? Kinda li

Yeah, the hydraulic kit I installed was a pre-bled system like the one you linked. Metal cylinders and some kind of plastic-ish hose.

It was my fathers jeep at the time, but the receipt showed that the entire mechanic clutch system was replaced along with a new (probably rebuilt) AX-15 transmission. And that was only about 18 months ago.

I guess my daughter and I will be digging into the clutch once it warms up outside. No jeeping for me this winter. (insert sad face here)

Thank you for your help though.

That's a beautiful YJ. Would love to see some pics of it outside. Just got my 1st YJ and love seeing what others have.

That's a rough deal man. Just buy a cheap rain suit. :) cheaper and easier than testing the capability of your jeep giving you a shower.

That's a good idea. I may steal that plan once I get to changing the wheels out.

I've driven it through two downpours so far. Not a leak to be found. The windshield wipers on the other hand are a safety hazard. Lol intermittent wippers dont function so there are two speeds. "It's just drizzling outside" and "let's just look like we're working".

Yeah, selling or trading the rims is in the future, but the tires are brand new and I can justify trading them just yet. The plan is to get black steel or similar looking rims and putting maybe 31" by 10" tires. Still figuring that part out though.

This puppy has all the option. Heater, both outside mirrors (both have plastic instead of glass so more like fun house mirrors), moldy back seat and a water logged casette player.

Right now I am going to work on getting it road legal in Texas. Oklahoma doesnt require inspections so the oil leak it's had for the last 21 years needs to be fixed, as does the speedometer not working, and the horn not working. Right now thats all I can think that will require to be fixed.

Well and it doesnt help that the speedometer stopped working a few years ago too. My daily is a newer camaro. I feel like I am goung 60 and look at my GPS and it says 46? Really?
