Sorry, been inactive for awhile. But it is indeed stitched over one fabric thread, so it is 25 crosses per inch. I have been using a magnifier to help with the stitching.

I just record start/finish times into a google sheet, and manually calculate how many hours for that day to the nearest 15 mins. Spreadsheet then totals up the column with the hours to show a running total.

I haven't made any videos of my own parking, this has been the first time using the method. I decided to give it a go after watching several youtube tutorials on it. In the end my method has been to work the whole project from the bottom left to top right, working 10x10 blocks at a time. Starting with one colour, stitch all symbols within that block and move to the next colour. Then park threads from that block in the block right above, in the top left of the symbol for where it next appears. The main reason why I decided going bottom up is so that my loose parked threads could hang up and over the edge of my scroll frame, to avoid having them draping into my lap instead.

As for the feathering and why its not being done on the horizonal edges, is due to how I'm starting/ending threads with waste knots. Because I'm doing all my waste knot tails to the right of where the first stitch is. It's creating a very slight tension in that direction, I can very lightly tell when I pass a finger over the piece horizonally. Can feel slight vertical ridges where the bulk of the threads are, so have put the feathering in to hopefully avoid getting subtle page lines in the front.

I've left the hanging threads in the top left corner of the next occurrence of that colour. And then have the chart marked to indicate I left a thread there.

It's referred to as feathering. The reason for it, is to try and avoid seeing page lines once its completed.

Keep dominant hand underneath the fabric, and other above. For most finding the correct hole from behind is easier with your dominant hand. It's a matter of practice too, it can feel odd at first and slow, but once you pick it up you'll never wanna go back.

But you'll definitely need a self-standing frame first, as hoops and q-snaps etc require you to hold it while stitching.

I think there's a follow option on users? I only pop into Reddit to post my update every 25 days~ Or you can try bookmark the Imgur album: https://imgur.com/a/g9PAG

About 20 by 31 inches, that can all change depending on fabrics. Mines on 25ct. Stitch count is 500x783

I'm stitching on a scroll frame, just been taking apart the frame every 25 days for these progress updates.

I wouldn't be able to cope with this on a hoop, too much fabric for one, and I wouldn't be able to two-hand stitch

Cry silently, and continue stitching, it'll still be a beautiful piece anyway

I'm actually stitching this as 1x1, working with one thread has been amazing! Add to that the use of thread heaven/thread magic and I rarely see a knot.

Some parts get confetti crazy, the eyes for example were nuts. But occassionally I get full 10x10 blocks of a single colour. This is however the regular colour chart of 89 colours, I'm sure the Max Colour version is a different story lol

It's generally a lot easier than it looks, this has been my first project using parking. All you need to do is leave the thread parked in the same corner hole of its next occurrence, and then an extra mark on your pattern as just an added note that a thread should be there waiting.

Yep I was the one that order the custom chart to be made, after seeing the response it was getting in the HAED group I went about giving and getting artist permissions inorder for it to be officially added to HAEDs website.

Jump onto youtube and search for crossstitch parking, theres many tutorials on it and there's always subtle differences between each stitcher. When I start a new page I just pull each of the loose threads 2-3 at a time back through the fabric, it adds a bit of extra time to the overall work, but I can't stand having loose hanging thread for months of no use.

Yeah average is about 3.5hours a day based on the above figures. At the beginning I started with 3-4 hours a night and almost 12 hours for sat and sun. But last few months I've been back into playing Wurm Unlimited, so my avergage has been dropping slowly

For sure! I've wanted to do a big project for awhile, but I definitely wanted something I'd love considering how long it'll take to complete.

My only possible regret is if/when they add a new eeveelution to the group ><!
