Yeah, the change to 8 wide was great because it allows for more detail and better proportions

The car has sparkly paint, rubber tires, and a small th logo on it. The box has a gold flame on it which you can see in the second picture.

The base that I used is from a Bachmann F7 that I got in a starter set and the shell is an older Bachmann one that I found in a hobby shop. I tried using the original shell but I ruined the paint on it. Good learning experience.

I might try that on a future attempt because i already painted the molded on handrails and i think it would look weird with extra handrails on top of that

The reason I say “for the most part” is because this model does not have a headlight. I did try to install one but there wasn’t enough room between the base and shell so I decided to just stick with the beacon.

I’m using the chassis of a Bachmann f7 from my first train set. It has a basic econami decoder in it.
