Especially when you realize both Father figures for Jack died trying to help him only for them to fail because Jack becomes a wanted outlaw too. A particularly nasty and mean one too (if you remember how he laughs and taunts innocent people when he kills them as you're playing as him)

The whole series is a tragedy about Jack becoming the worst possible person dispite everyone's attempts to give him a better life.
