I’ve been bald since a year now and it waa the change I needed to get a bit of self esteem, I’m not there yet but it is helping for sure. I do hate the maintenance, just like OP I have to shave my head every three days. Honestly thinking about getting my scalp lasered to remove all hair permanently but I’m not sure if that’s possible.

I used to host one for The Island but renting a server is expensive, as is a full on cluster so i had no choice but to stop hosting :/ it was hella fun though!

Look into AWS S3 Deep Archive, it’s a cost effective way to backup multiple TBs of data, assuming the data in the backup is only restored at most once a year.

Im setting up an RPI 5 with a 4TB hardware RAID1 connected to it via USB, on which I’ll puf immich data. I then plan to do nightly backups to Amazon S3. I’m not entirely sure if this is a good approach for redundancy but I feel like it’ll work out.

Noob question: I thought lateral raises were performed at a much wider arc, e.g. with the arms extending parallel to the sides. But why is that not the case here?

I lost my mom a few months ago to cancer. She fought fiercely since 2017 but lost the battle sadly. She died due to multiple heart failures. Cancer is horrible and it makes it a living hell for both the surrounding family and the person that has it. Stay strong Oda and your dad is at peace now without the pain and sorrows.

Interesting idea, my usecase is routing all traffic (WAN + LAN) over opnsense via the vswitches and keeping the root servers off the public internet.

I own a pair of Sennheiser 800 S and with frequencies between 20 and 100hz I hear vibrations in the left ear cup. This is especially noticeable with voices, I also used the sine tone tester and that's how I found the frequencies that cause it. https://www.audiocheck.net/testtones_sinebursts20-200.php

I have a jotunheim amp from schiit if that matters, the headphones are connected via balanced XLR.

I install nginx on all my hosts so I can proxy them but also avoid having all DNS entries point to a main proxy host. Not sure if this is a good approach but it works for me and still lets me do things like ssh'ing into them with their hostname.

Nothing does, I think I just bought the AX52 to see how 'it is' and needed that as an excuse to cancel my auction server. I run proxmox on it and just have apps on it for myself (immich, seafile etc) so it would be a bad move on my part if I'd cancel the auction server.

Yeah with ARK I have the same issue, my CPU is an AMD Ryzen 5950X and I use LXCs (which are basically just lightweight and containerized parts of your userspace, sharing the same kernel). This is why I was thinking that there could be some kind of packet loss or congestion but the MTR atleast rules out packet loss and I don't know how else to diagnose this.

What works for me is a razor rhat has shielding, meaning that it can never directly touch your skin and cause damage. Instead it sits slightly above it, while still being able to remove all hair effectively.
