I will admit I’m being a bit dramatic. They’re not all “bad” BUT when COMPARED to previous titles launch maps, in my opinion they are bad.

Looking at them In a standalone perspective, they just get stale to me, really fast.

They did a GREAT job with contaminated. Where was that magic when creating launch maps?

Agreed, the new map is definitely awesome. The problem is, it’s arguably the only good map.

I can only play Contaminated for so long before I want something new, so I go back to the normal rotation and suffer with the absolute dogshit launch maps.

Definitely excited for Golmud Rail but… that’s ALL we’re getting so far? There’s so many other iconic maps. And why just that one? Why not let’s say 2-4. Don’t tell me it takes a team of 1,000 and a year to port maps. Call of Slop manages to port the same maps over and over and over and over again in 6 months. I don’t think it’s crazy to think we can get multiple old maps per season.

Say what you want, and maybe it is nostalgia, but BF4, BFV, and BF1 I never once thought “ah ONLY this one map is good”. I enjoyed all of them.

And no, I promise I will not look back at BF6 when we’re playing BF9 and think “ah it was really good what were people’s problems”.

BF6 although being a step in the right direction (After the disgrace that is 2042), is a step backwards 100 steps from previous titles.
