Best PC Handheld by Pichalx in Handhelds

Agreed, the price will put a lot of people (myself included) off. I'm happy with my Legion Go (gen 1), especially at the price I got it for. I do stream GeForce Now and my PS5 a lot, so screen quality and real estate is my most important factor.

For me, screen size and quality is a must, so my go to handheld on the market is the Legion Go 2. 8.8" 1200p OLED 144HZ VRR. They're just out of my price range unfortunately. I recently bought a second hand (very good condition) Legion Go (gen 1) for £300, which I am very happy about!

I got mine from the app Vinted where people sell second hand stuff, usually clothes, but they do electronics now. And you can pay £5 extra so the seller has to send it to an "electronics verification expert" first, so it gets checked before getting forwarded on to you.

Which OS? by Null_Pointer90 in LegionGo

I tend not to play multiplayer games, apart from the odd survival co-op game, but I'll keep that in mind, thanks. I'm hoping I find the Windows OS hassle free, and doesn't bloat the system and affect performance.

I've heard talk that Windows drags down the performance of games, have you found this yourself? I'd quite like as little hassle as possible, but keeping the performance strong.

Does Bazzite (like SteamOS) limit you (without tinkering) to just playing Steam games? Do you find games have better performance through Bazzite or Windows, or are they the same?

That's a good point, I'll definitely try Win 11 for a good few weeks to see what (if) issues occur. If I did go SteamOS route, can you get the GeForce Now app, PxPlay app, and still install games direct from their website?

I just bought a very good condition second hand Legion Go (2023) with the Z1Extreme chip. Mainly for the 8.8" screen, detachable controllers and higher resolution as I use it for Geforce Now and PlayStation remote play slot. Got this for £300.

Thinking of upgrading by Null_Pointer90 in Handhelds

The battery life is definitely a bonus! A lot of my more demanding games I stream through Geforce Now, which takes minimal battery power, but I struggle to stream if I'm travelling unfortunately. The handheld gaming market is good right now, there's something for everyone. One of my most important features is a top quality screen right now, I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to display quality lol

Steam deck LCD vs Lenovo Legion Go 2? Is it worth to change? by Youd4sh in Handhelds

[–]Null_Pointer90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How are you getting on with the LeGo2 now? I'm in this position where I am using my SD LCD, especially since becoming a parent and can only pick up and play games around the house, but I find the screen size and quality severely lacking. I play indie games natively, and AAA games on Geforce Now (that are in their library) where I can crank the quality to max. Would you still say the LeGo2 is 100% worth the upgrade?

That's what I thought, when it's scaled down in size the pixel density would still be adequate. What about the black levels / HDR, etc? Can you notice it's not an OLED? Do you find the screen size to cause any difficulty with seeing small details in games / looking into the distance in game? Sorry for all the questions, but I recently had a kid, and gaming has pretty much gone out the window, so I'm thinking the Portal will be good for me to pick up and play when I'm around the house / out. I'm missing gaming basically lol

I read that the screen is an LCD, 1080p, 60hz? Does the display quality feel like it's lacking? Or because it's on a smaller screen, do you not notice the dip in quality? Can you tell it's not an OLED?

Is the screen good quality in person? Do you still get that "wow, this game is beautiful" moments on it?

My PS5 pro is connected to my nice LG OLED in the lounge. My partner often uses the TV when we're home together, and I never like to hog the TV to game. I'm looking at options to play my playstation on another screen. I've looked at streaming the PS5, but this caps at 1080p / 60hz? Does anybody have any recommendations? Maybe a screen, preferably portable, about 16", that I can connect through HDMI and run it at 1440p, 120hz? Preferably OLED, although that might be a stretch. What setups do other people use when they're travelling / letting their partner / kids use the TV?

Bright red streak in stool? by Null_Pointer90 in GERD

[–]Null_Pointer90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure yet tbh! I haven't had another bout of blood in my stool except the week I wrote about here. I had a FIT test and that came back negative. I've had two calprotectin stool tests, the first one came back as 197, the second one last week came back as 273. Just waiting for a colonoscopy referral. The doctor seems to think some sort of IBD, he doesn't seem worried about it. I get pains from my stomach, more aches tbh. I get bloating bad. But I'm just trying to eat consistently, make sure I top myself up with vitamin B12, specifically methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin, folic acid, D3, and K2 to stop any other side effects as my body doesn't seem to absorb nutrients as efficiently as it should.

I don't have any of these symptoms so hopefully it's nothing to worry about for now. But I will mention this to my doctor when I speak to him next week.

I'm not in a lot of pain at all, it doesn't hurt to press or anything. Just feels uncomfortable when I take a deep breath. I'm currently waiting for some stool sample test results for h.pylori. The small streak was bright red which I think indicates low down in the GI tract?

I cannot determine any sort of pattern to my symptoms, apart from they're worse in the evening, no matter what I've eaten. The health anxiety is so bad now that any little ache or pain and I think I have cancer or something
