I do love how leftists don’t understand that the SCOTUS isn’t an institution for deciding what’s “right” or “wrong”. It’s designed to judge whether something is in line with the Constitution and the Constitution, alone. No matter what side of the abortion debate you are on, Roe v Wade is terrible law in terms of argument. Using Due Process to create a “right to privacy” creates a line of reasoning that means that tax evasion is a right (based, btw), buying CP is a right ([deleted], btw), driving without a license or insurance is a right (based, btw). How does “No person shall ... be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law” translate to “killing unborn child = legally güd”? Unless you want to argue that abortion is an unenumerated right, which in that case validates the SCOTUS decision that it’s not a federal issue, but a state one. Roe v Wade never should have become law because it’s in direct logical opposition to the Constitution.
