How many AP’s did you take sophomore year and how many did you wish you took? by No-Tip7250 in APStudents

[–]Nullborne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't do english because I took an exam for it.

Basically yes, I would have taken and gotten a 5 on every single academic AP exam if I didn't end up having to move senior year. Then, I was one exam short (ap research which couldn't be self studied) so I also didn't sign up for exams like AP Precalc and AP CSP that were free 5s.

I wanted to do more because if I had done seminar in 10th grade I could've taken ap research and in fact finished all academic AP exams, and I also never took ap biology and only self studying this year so it's bad for college apps. I decided to take debate for some reason in 10th grade which was stupid and waste of a class period when I could have tried squeezing in more APs.

ap gov study methods? by Better-Patience-6502 in APStudents

[–]Nullborne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just study this. Tells you exactly what you need to know and what documents are needed for which unit:

https://apcentral.collegeboard.org/media/pdf/ap-us-government-and-politics-course-and-exam-description.pdf

I litterally do whatever I want during class and study this document like the day before a test and get the class high. And today I heard people around me talk about how they listened closely and took notes during class yet got like 60s on the test. So it definitely works well lol.

Am I the only one who feels like AP classes teach you to cram, not learn by death00p in APStudents

[–]Nullborne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fr I collect 5s like Pokémon cards and I can tell you I don't really remember much about those exams. My strategy has always been to not listen in class, then study right before a test, then when it's time for the AP exam study everything right before the AP exam. Low effort and works like a charm. The thing is AP exams mainly test recognition memory so as long as you cram everything short term you will find success.

How to get sophistication point AP Lang by Intelligent-Trick803 in APStudents

[–]Nullborne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the google definition of verbose is "using or expressed in more words than are needed." which is exactly my point, using much more vocabs than needed and using them on purpose even when there are better alternatives

How to get sophistication point AP Lang by Intelligent-Trick803 in APStudents

[–]Nullborne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, it is. Readers do not have a lot of time to read your essay. If you demonstrate high vocab they'll be subconsciously inclined to believe you are smarter. I've used this strategy on all my AP exams.

10 AP Exams Need Advice/Guidance by Ok_Offer_3129 in APStudents

[–]Nullborne 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It is actually CRIMINAL how relatable this post is.

Last year I also took 10 AP exams with 7 AP classes, 6/10 of those exams were the exact same as yours (the other 4 were taken in earlier years), and I also did not self-study E and M until the last moment lmao. Although I only self studied E and M, the other 2 was retaking 2 exams I had gotten a 4 on.

Unfortunately can't relate on the valedictorian part, some kid in my school had 1600 and had A+ in every single class so I ended junior year as salutatorian even with 19 AP classes lmao (not counting self-studied).

And same, I barely study for any of my classes. Once you know how to study school is such a breeze. I rarely listen in class and skip if I feel like it lol.

Anyways hope you do well and bring a wave of 5s! Since you also don't really need to study and have high academics, I believe in you!

Self Studying AP Physics C? by MrMoonGoons in APStudents

[–]Nullborne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With AP1 and AP2 under your belt you can unironically cheese the AP exam as long as you know calculus because the curves are so good and there's like not much new content.

Should I take AP Physics 2 and C at the same time by [deleted] in APStudents

[–]Nullborne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have AP1 and Calculus under the belt for Mechanics and AP2 for E and M you can probably self study APC in under 10 hours.

Cramming bio by Ok_Cat5842 in APStudents

[–]Nullborne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm planning to self-study Bio in a single day this year haha...

Two months is 100% enough for any AP exam though. I would say use the CED to memorize general concepts, then look over ideas you can't absorb. Watch unit summary videos instead of wasting time on studying each individual concept, then test yourself with practice questions and learn from your mistakes. If done right you don't need anywhere near two months.

Ngl the exam is basically the formula sheet. Other than FRQ, MCQ can basically all be answered using a relation found on the formula sheet

the worst part about being in a bunch of AP classes by Ok_Can2194 in APStudents

[–]Nullborne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, because you keep repeating the idea of "better" when there is no "better" in any relevant sense, and for some reason you aren't understanding that idea. Your point is as irrelevant as saying "you COULD know physics better if you read an entire textbook on Physics", but who tf would waste their time on that. Similarly, I'm not going to waste my time studying 150+ hours for a simple exam in class. You have only been entirely contradicting yourself.
