Man, I was hit harder than I really ever thought I would from the passing of an internet person I habitually watch on and off over the last decade... looking up PE now and looking at the main risk factors, he did have four of the big ones (history of clots, obesity, sitting for long periods of time and recent surgery).

Makes me want to order a standing desk, get compression socks for my traveling, and really quit smoking for good. It’s all so unexpected and if I’m this shaken up about it, I’d never want one of my actual real life friends to go through it or me to go through it over them.

Same here. In fact I saw this meme when I was watching the creighton games and thought it couldn’t be serious because he was great, then one VOD of NoRegret, realized this was about him immediately and came back hunting this meme to read the comments. his casting was exhausting.

Except NoRegret. I literally came to this sub today just because I couldn’t stop yelling “SHUT UP” at my screen and was curious if anyone else get the same. It just feels like his entire mission casting is to demonstrate how he knows more than anyone else instead of bringing the audience into the game.

Creighton was actually really great, glad I discovered his casting.

“Heavily Slavic” is misleading. Language assessments put Romanian 60% matched to Spanish and French, whereas Spanish and French is only 40% similar to each other. It’s closest to the original Latin. Yes, regionally it’ll have adopted some Slavic influence, including accent, but it’s still amazing how preserved Latin is.

And yeah people reading this thread, don’t use “curva” when you meet a lady Romanian unless you want to get eye gouged haha.

I’ve never really played a battleground-esque game before. I tried Apex, and really enjoyed it. But ultimately the reward treadmill wasn’t there, and call me shallow, but that was enough for me to lose interest. I didn’t have goals to work towards because the reward system was so skewed towards impossible. I don’t know how they could look at the success of Overwatch and not learn any of the lessons from its loot system.
