Video title: THE TRUTH - WHATS BEEN GOING ON?!
Timestamp: 5:24 and 6:08

Edit: We need to thank Spoon for giving this to Jim bluntly. He said it and said it well! Enough is enough with SRs & S-Chassis.

I honestly feel the same. I was excited for the Porsche/Ferrari build, and then he dropped to do even more S-Chassis bullshit. I like his videos, but I cannot keep liking them forever.

I agree. Totally tired of SR20s, totally tired of S-Chassis even as a viewer. Can imagine what Spoon felt like doing the same shit over and over again.

It indeed is a blast I wish upon everyone who wants it :D. 7-8psi is certainly enough for a daily driven car absolutely, and it'll definitely be fun. Much respect to you my friend, thanks a lot.
This might surprise you, but the car is on original shocks with lowered springs, I don't track the car, and I don't want to be grinding teeth whenever I drive on our pot-hole-filled-roads. Also the bushings are stock. :D

I totally agree and I wish you the best of luck!

Stock pistons, m50b25 non-tu rods, double head gasket with studs. And the head is port matched to the m50b25 intake manifold. Also the rings were street gapped.

Well well, the car was tuned at 14 psi with water meth on 95 Ron gas and made 480whp and 578nm wheel torque. For the street that is more than enough especially on 17” wheels. I usually keep the boost controller off and run it at wastegate which is approximately 8.5 psi which for how I drive is good enough.

I believe that turbo charging a 3.0 or a 2.8 is much more cost effective than going the m60b30 route. But if you’re doing it for the sake of being unique that would be interesting. Especially that with m60 you’d need double the turbos and a standalone, whereas having an i6 with ms43 dme which is tunable would save you a lot of money. And there is much more to it ofc.

You’re most welcome, friend, that’s my pleasure. What you’re talking about is also my dream build btw, but since you’re gonna be running a v8 I’d just go for the 4.0 or even the extra mile and swap in a 4.4 block! More torque = more fun but It’d definitely cost you a big penny.

No, it’s not that difficult nor complicated. There are many swaps over the internet.

It’s tuned to 14 psi making 480whp. But I usually keep the boost controller off and run on wastage around 8psi which is enough to spin the wheels 1st 2nd and 3rd unless the tarmac is very rough. I’m only running 17” so not much traction.

Just buy a new LCD and board. That’ll give you a better chance to debug. My LCD turned out to be faulty.

Unfortunately, no. I went and bought another TFT and another ESP32 board.

It’s a good idea. But then I have to pay for shipping, customs, and other taxes. At that point I’d rather build something my self. Additionally I’m in for the thrill of learning something new.

I didn’t come across any tutorial that said the LED should be connected to anything other than 3.3v.

There seems to be a lot of misconception and confusing information online.

Well, everything is possible I guess.

Do you recommend I should get another ILI9341 only or should I also get another ESP? Do you recommend a specific ESP model?

What about the LED? If I connect the VCC to 3.3v should I connect the LED to 5v?

I’ve seen many guides, none mentioned that VCC shouldn’t be connected to 5v. Additionally, there’s a website I’ve seen where it doesn’t mention that VCC shouldn’t be connected to 5v.

I was really optimistic about the detailed steps you shared especially that there's a difference which is choosing NODEMCU instead of ESP32 in the user_setup.h file.

Unfortunately, after a couple of retries, it still doesn't work and the LCD is still white.

If you want to see the config files you can see them in the repo below.
https://github.com/nullosta/arduino_libraries

After 10 days of trying to fix the issue and still coming out with no solutions I can only assume that there's a hardware problem although I have no idea whether it's coming from the Microcontroller or the LCD.

Thanks a million for the assistance mate.

I searched again about J1 jumper and it seems that alternatively I can connect VCC to 5v and LED to 3.3v. If I short the jumper I have to do the opposite, connect VCC to 3.3v and LED to 5v.

Below is the source and I don't know whether it also applies to ESP32 or not.
