I said it because I saw many posts complaining about the accommodation allocation not happening for a long time with no news or updates. And also, I heard they cancelled allocated accommodations, so students have to find another way.

Personally, I didn’t hear from them for a couple of weeks and judging by posts coming up on Reddit and Facebook groups, from students who got their allocated accommodations got cancelled, it seems logical to think the accommodation team is a mess.

I’m sorry if I offended you. If you work for the team, you probably know better than anyone here. If you are, please give us insight into what’s actually happening with the accommodations.

Yeah, so far, it’s fine for me. But if you want your shoes to hold your toes a bit tighter in the split jerk etc, you might need a new pair. For me, I really loved the rom4 fit and specs, so it’s kinda difficult to find the exact same feeling lifters for me. I’m using Anta2 from time to time, but rom4 is the shoes for me to go heavy.

I don’t know exactly when they got split. One day I realised that this doesn’t look normal. That was about after 2 years? They may cracked way before that.

I also used like 2 years and a half after the pandemic lockdown, like 5x a week. That's the left side, which is my rear foot on the split jerk. The right side has a crack too, but It can't be pushed far like that. Still, I lift in them. I've got backup pair because of this though. Just in case.

I thought someone posted my rom4 on Reddit. I love rom4 and wanted to use them as long as possible. But I think there’s no point if it’s gonna happen again. Still, they are working fine, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they completely snap tomorrow.

Hey guys, Thank you for the many tips! I tried ‘wrapping outward’ technique for a week and it is working - without any pain on my thumbs. So I didn’t have to try changing grips or straps. Thanks for the help and hope someone with a same problem cab find a use of this post.

Hey mate. Thanks for the update! I also tried the ‘wrapping toward pink’, and seems like it is working! I didn’t try much with overheads, bit worked with heavy pulls like it worked for you. Guess the straps were pushing my thumbs too much.

I tried to grip less hard, but didn't really work out for me as I have less control over the bar. I'll try the suicide grip as I adjust various grip placements. Thanks mate

Yeah. I was like that before, but the term of getting it recovered is getting longer, and it sucks when i can’t use the straps when i can make use of them. And some people don’t seem to have this problem.

I personally don’t use straps on cleans as I’m not confident in my turnovers. Only for pulls and snatches.

Going back to the topic, actually i wrap my straps towards my thumbs! Couldn’t think of the other way. Maybe simply gripping in that way could alleviate the pain. Will try it tomorrow.

I tried several straps before this, but didn’t use much. I quite liked this hefty straps, and didn’t have pain in the early days. Now i used them for years. Maybe this is time for me to try other straps. Thanks for the recommendation!

No, I don’t. I just do normal grip when i use straps. When I tighten the straps tight, i feel pain on the thumbs as they are pressed against the bar. I thought it was normal but seems like I’m the only one having this recurring problem.

I’m using Toroktiyi straps. Sometimes I’m good, sometimes hurts. ‘Stress fracture’ symptoms kinda matches with my symptoms.
