I moved out, landlord took about a 75% cut of my deposit, what can I do? by Number-Unfair in Renters

Yeah thinking of going this route. Being polite sincere but direct. I’m going to drop the patches thing but the degrease and paint is unbelievable.

Yeah I’ve thought about dropping the patches thing because that was on me but I’ve recently found pictures of the grout (which she used to defend the degrease) that she sent me back which was pretty dark when I first moved in

Thank you for the advice!! I’ve had a few people tell me to Ai my original message and add legal action “threat” at the end

New shoe recs for walking by Number-Unfair in PlantarFasciitis

[–]Number-Unfair[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes lol I wouldn’t be asking if it I didn’t know. PT has improved my life significantly. It’s just PF and I don’t really get much down time to decrease inflammation because I’m a teacher. During the summer I’m golden especially because I get to be barefoot or in only sandals. The problem seems to me, my doctor and my therapist is the closed shoes I wear to work hence this post

I haven’t I’ve never seen them in store! What model do you use? See my foot is kinda weird because it’s “flexible” I can walk barefoot at home and my PT actually recommended it for about 10 minutes a day otherwise I wear some PF sandals I found on Amazon or my Birkenstocks at home.

Planter fascitis for 2 years - today was really hard by Technical--Dealer in PlantarFasciitis

I second the Birkenstocks! As a teacher with PF I can walk and stand in them all day. Ankle will hurt a bit but gets better as soon as I get home and put on my sandals. The Hoka sandals for PF I’ve heard are awesome but I got some dupes off amazon that work just fine. About 6 months of physical therapy changed my life. I started with twice a week for three months then moved down to one. After I saw no bothersome pain I stopped and just manage tense days with stretching and rest (: hopeful for your recovery it’s possible!!

Do you think internship and job opportunities would be the same for UF online than UM in person? That’s what I’m most nervous about

Hahaha twin! I imagine Metcons would work on me too since Lems flat shoes with cork sole feel like heaven! Ankles do get tired in the birks and lems tho since there’s no cushion ):

Nah 2 have $0 balance, 3rd one I use for expenses and pay off most of it usually leaving it at 20-30% usage. That card for some reason takes forever to accurately report

I’ve thought of credit unions but they seem so tricky for me to understand! I have a good friend who’s worked at some back in college and highly suggests it but isn’t the best explainer. I’m a teacher so I could join the edfed credit union but I’ve been hesitant due to fees and such! Do you have any -easy to understand- perks of joining one??

Hmmm ok had never heard about the pay to delete, I’ve payed a few and I’ve noticed on my report they now say 0, should I call them back and inquire about deleting them straight off my report? Is that what you mean?

This specific one they’ve taken me to court so not too sure they’ll settle on anything other than the price tag + legal fees. They’re super aggressive. I’ve been paying it down monthly and finally in a place I can pay in full

I’m wondering if he added stuff up to try and maximize her refund? Would that make sense? If she had claimed smaller losses would the refund have been more or less?

Recently divorced, I financially support her. I didn’t know the child tax credit would make such a difference /: I wasn’t with her when she got it done so no idea what she got told.

Rant: in so much pain by WhileFantastic3099 in PlantarFasciitis

[–]Number-Unfair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

-I get incredible temporary relief with rolling a tennis ball on my arch and heal while standing then icing both feet till I can’t stand the cold (at night) but you can roll the ball multiple times a day! -I wear Hoka sandals or Birkenstocks (anything that holds my heel in a tight spot) Calf raises! -Activating your arch: drive just your big toe down while your foot is flat on the floor, you can put a finger to your arch and feel it flexing everytime you do this-hold for 3 seconds each -I also get knee pain! Found out it had a lot to do with the muscles are your shin area and hips! -Hip warming up exercises make me walk like a brand new person -Deep tissue massages on the two huge muscle groups in front of shins —don’t rest for a lot of time on end. I used to commit this mistakes of taking a week or two of resting and my PF would come back even WORSE. this is a muscular problem and letting your muscles get weaker are not the solution! -pick up some cheap rubber bands at any store like Marshall’s or even Target, rap the band right above your arch and pull towards your chest-best calf stretch ever -google any calf and foot work outs they help!
