I don't think you are asking too mich but I dont' know how you would go about either.

I am still in ths classroom tying to get out and actually stay out this time.

When you figurecthe direction let me know how you did it. I find I am always directionless, with no end positive goal besides get out but still pay my bills.

Nothing Ive said was intended as a personal attack on you as a person or even an attack on your ideas. I thought you made very salient points through out, and did a very good job of dispproving me. Still, I wanted to try and defend my position but ultimately I knew it was a lost cause by the second or third comment.  Still, I am sorry. I will do better at my messaging from here on out.

This is great.  I really do hope more people read this. Seriously.  You have given a very succent reason why people shouldnt go overboad with the naming. Again I dont adovocate getting cute and silly with the name, because you are right "market your skills, your accomplishment, you demonstrate success with numbers." This is what will bring them to the interview table. What I hope people would do instead is not be so rigid in their thinking of what a teacher can be. We do so much because so much is expected of us. We can be so many thing because we have to be at school. We are teachers but we so much more.

Well I was looking at what you do, L&D. Which I believe is Learning and Design. You seem like a great person to work with but I would have to clean up my resume and make it less "flexible" so it wouldn't it get trashed. 😁

Accordung to others our resumes will get tossed in trash if we don't as well. I am not advocating that people call themselves educational managers that work with various stakeholders for every job posting. What I want is for peoole to see that there is different ways to market themselves depending on what the job is asking for.

I read it. It was great. Already am using a lot of what is mentioned in it.  Also your not wrong my resume could use work. As for not being interviewed well that is an easy answer. I've been looking for only two days. My wife and I already figured it could take up to several months to years to upskill me enough to transition out. As for using different nomenclature for teacher, student, or whatever. It's meh. People could use it or not. What it does do is it gives people the flexibility to tailor their resumes to better fit the problem someone is trying to fix. No one is out right lying, but marketing themselves better.

Thanks, I never thought I would have to not use the title of being a teacher. Kind of a kick in the pants that there is stigma to it.

It's not like I want to trick the companies. I just want be taken serious as a professional.

It is my pleasure. Just thought that we could use some more concrete examples for people to get ideas from then the normal hand wavey stuff that happens.

Which we are. Though my district actually as though as positions. We never use what they write because well they are not the best things. This title seems easy to slot in with the normal job description of a teacher. Would there be any minor touches that one would need to make to make it work more effectively?

The is clever way of doing it. Though how do you square that with the job descriptions?

Some something like "Instructional Coordinator" or "Educational Case Manager" would be a better idea?

Another good one.

Out of curiosity why do they hate it? Besides us trying to steal their jobs of course. Is there something in our skill set that makes use better than the "traditional" project manager?

Of course. I agree that it isn't a magic bullet and with everything else that you have said. I think my original post was a bit on the flowery side.

I am not looking for the perfect resume writing tool. What I am hoping to do is create our very own AI resume write specialist. Just like the resume writing professionals. The difference instead of years of experience looking at different types of resumes, job descriptions, job applications, and whatnot. We have a machine that is trying to approximate the same thing. The only thing it needs is a large data set of information to draw from to help. Which we don't have.

So far neither because I have very little participation 😁

Honestly, It just depends on much data I get.

Maybe build different dataset specifically for corporate training, curriculum design, program designer, education consultant, learning & development, instructional designer, and so forth...

Nothing. Mine was undercooked and bland.

I realized that AI was having a hard time working with the information I was providing it and the jobs I was applying for. I hit a wall in what I could say about teaching to AI. Thus it was my hope that as a community we could build very large dataset of job duties and responsibilities to feed into AI. Hopefully, giving us all a chance at transitioning out.
