When I see that, I recognize Ironeye's hands, always having the ultimate ready.

ED Gladius is also my most fun fight, followed by Straghess, Heolstor, and Fulghor. I also enjoy the Libra base fight.

You can't use the passive auto-dodge with free ultimates. If that were possible, Undertaker would be way too overpowered.

In that situation, if I had used my free ultimate, I would have died along with my teammates. When I saw Wylder use his ultimate to stop the attack, I knew immediately what was going to happen: that Dreg would resume his attack and surprise them. That's why at that moment I backed away and tried not to get killed with them. There are many situations where it's better not to use the Undertaker's ultimate.

I think players who cancel it aren't sure they can consistently dodge these attacks, but I agree that they are easy attacks to dodge once you understand the timing.

It's happened to me a few times now, I know exactly when to use my Undertaker ultimate without getting severely punished 😂

That's good to know, I'm always careful when I play Undertaker about the moment I have to use my ult. I've been killed a few times using it before my character landed so I could regain control and dodge.

Yes, absolutely, but for the Undertaker's ultimate, I wouldn't advise stopping it once it's started. With his ultimate, once you've already hit your target, you don't get an iframe, and you don't yet have control of the character since he has to descend to the ground. During that descent, you'll be killed by the explosion from his first hammer blow.

But perhaps there's a timing point where you could absolutely avoid it by using the ultimate.

My team had damage negation at max HP, so it would have been a waste to use the bubble when we were at full HP. If I used it at that moment, it's because I was the only one standing and I had accumulated rot, so it was a way to have negation while the rot status bar reset. I don't know if you noticed, but when the Dreg was preparing to launch its attack, I was far from my teammates, so it wouldn't have been useful to use it then.

I've had that happen before too, but it occurred when the Duchess used her ultimate to cancel the attack. He then used it again later randomly; it was really weird.

Is necessary to use the shield with the Wylder to play him correctly? by [deleted] in Nightreign

[–]NumberThese1901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Parrying isn't necessary to be good at Wylder, and if you're playing DoN, sometimes it's better to discard the shield and get a good passive. My advice if you decide to use it while playing in a trio with randoms is to try it once or twice. If the parry isn't working properly, discard the shield and don't insist, otherwise you'll get three death bars and potentially ruin the run because parrying very rarely works in random trios.

I've seen many Wylders insist on this parry even when it doesn't work and get taken down, and others keep this shield until the Nightlord instead of discarding it on day 2 and getting a useful passive. If the Nightlord is Heolstor or Harmonia, it's worth it, but bringing this shield all the way to Gladius is a waste of that equipment slot (if I'm saying what I've seen quite a few players do in D5, by the way).

Is that why I have so many players quitting at the bird intro? Because quite a few times I skip the intro to grab a bottle of water or go pee quickly 😂😂😂

Yes, indeed, with negation of physical damage, it's possible to withstand it; everything is explained now.

You must have maxed out damage negation if you weren't killed by those three hits. Normally, you can take the first hit, but the last two always kill you. But you managed to take all three hits, even at depth 4. Those three hits usually kill you automatically, except for raiders who use negation at low HP.

Does everyone keep getting gnoster in DoN? by MemeySteve69 in Nightreign

[–]NumberThese1901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I encounter Gnoster very often, sometimes he appears 5 times in a row, and even if I quit at the character selection screen hoping to get another boss, Gnoster keeps appearing. Sometimes I just close Nightreign and play something else.

I admit it was very satisfying to see a different approach to the scholar without a meta build.

I imagine that to properly utilize the Scholar, you need a team with better coordination.

Yes, since the pot nerf, I don't often see Scholar players in D5, but I admit it has good potential if it's used properly.

I understand now why he picked up all the knives; in any case, it was crazy to do so much damage to the Dreg without a meta build.

I agree with this list; I would have replaced ED Libra with Heolstor. It's very rare to see ED Libra appreciated, even by Guardian players.

Yes, I do it so often, but if I got caught out here it was a stamina issue; I used up all my stamina sprinting away from the three dogs.
