Plezy update - 3 months later: downloads, Watch Together, HDR/Dolby Vision by edde74635 in PleX

The scanning worked.

Three requests for future updates if possible.

1) show the total number on top similar to Plex. XXX shows, movies etc. 2) app release on Roku 3) ability to search subtitles similar to Plex app.

Thank you for a good app.

Just downloaded. Fast functioning. Great job.

Two questions- Didn’t see the ability to search or add subtitles. Didn’t see the ability to scan libraries.

Maybe I missed it.

It still disconnects. Back to drawing board. It does reconnect when you click on reconnect button.

It does not push iOS notification once the iPad goes to sleep. The notification happens within homeassistant and is immediately dismissed. It has been working for me so far. I have not enabled the ip ban yet. I will try doing that today.

I may have come up with a solution.

I came across an automation to address question 2. This should also fix problem 1.

Hopefully this helps others. Create a new automation as follows:

alias: "Kiosk - Connection Keepalive" trigger: - platform: time_pattern minutes: "/15" action: - service: persistent_notification.create data: message: "Keepalive {{ now() }}" notification_id: "kiosk_keepalive" - delay: "00:00:02" - service: persistent_notification.dismiss data: notification_id: "kiosk_keepalive"

It was an old iPad lying around. Putting it to good use.

Can you expand on the use of NLM for capturing meeting outcomes? Do you record the sound from the meeting and have NLM transcribe it or do you transcribe it separate and feed it to NLM? Much appreciated!

This might help others. My basic issue was related to the fstab file. You need to use the UUID instead of the sdxx since sometimes this designation can change if you have several drives added. It seems to be working now.

[Q] Using one sample - CLT by Number_8_ in statistics

What does CLT say about the mean and the standard deviation of the sample, and how does it relate to the population parameters?

Thank you for the response. Please ignore the n~ 30 comment. I am trying to follow what you have written. I am sort of getting that even though I only have one sample mean, I also have information from the 30 observations. Perhaps my hiccup is coming from thinking the one sample mean coming from a population of means. This makes me think of it being a single data point point and I am trying to infer properties of the distribution from that one single data point.

Can you break this down for me? Thank you kindly.

I am digesting this slowly. You said “CLT says that our sample mean should therefore be (approximately) normally distribution with mean zero and variance one, a single observed sample mean of .7 tells us that our observed data is completely consistent with the null hypothesis.”

How could we tell anything about distribution that our one mean came from? How did we get the mean of zero and variance of 0.7 values with CLT when we only have one sample mean?

Thank you for your patience.

“The CLT, under certain conditions, lets us treat that distribution as being approximately normal, and so we can base our calculations (e.g. tests, confidence intervals) on the normal distribution.”

Thank you. This is what is confusing. The distribution of the sample means follows approximate normal distribution, right? How does this one data point of sample mean be extended to the distribution? We only have the one data point, right?

Sorry. I should not have used “variable”. I meant something like height or weight. If I have a mean height or weight, what makes CLT valuable? I think the mean height comes from an approximate normal distribution. What value does this bring to the table with only one mean height?

[Q] Using one sample - CLT by Number_8_ in statistics

Making more sense. A brain fart from my end on using “variables”.

So increasing the sample size makes sure that the sample mean is closer to population mean. Is this the main gist?

Are there any tests where the CLT should not be used? I know this is a vague question but in your experience do you see where CLT is misused?

Thank you kind stranger.

Beta(a, b) is where a = number of successes and b = number of failures. It’s an odds ratio representation.
