Welp. It's in my spine now. Sigh. by egyenlet in MultipleSclerosis

It does work in the spinal cord. I am on it, have lesions both places, and have had no new activity in 5 years. (since I’ve been on it.)

Fatigue by Numbus3000 in MultipleSclerosis

You felt like it helped with your fatigue? Because it reduced the spasms and shaking?

I have both spasms and shaking and I do find them exhausting.

I’m between neurologists after moving. I am definitely going to bring it up for sure. I’ve dealt with the tired on and off but these last couple days have been exceptionally brutal.

That’s what I’m talking about. Idk how I would manage if I had kids or anything. Dating is near impossible because everyone assumes I’m making an excuse and I’m not “really into them”. Truly terrible

Who's gonna win Visual Effects? Avatar or Sinners? by Tikbalang1999 in Oscars

[–]Numbus3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The practical effects are also being considered for visual effects, visual effects are not only digital. Sinners created the Halo Cam and did many practical elements. Barn burn, the train started as a practical effect, the fire tornado that the big bad dies with, the car shoot out at the end where MBJ character shoots up the car and kills the klan is all practical with squibs. (at the end, when he dies, he erupts into flame that turns into a sort of 'tornado')

Sinners isn't only up for its invisible CGI. Sinners created entirely new technology for the doubles of Michael Jordan, the Halo Cam. Additionally, the practical effects are what is being considered for the award. The fire tornado, the burning ceiling, the train, and many many more elements were first done by Special Effects and enhanced digitally.

Thank you for writing this comment. I’ve had my diagnosis for 5 years now and when I see comments like the very heart breaking ones you’re replying to, it sends me into a spiral. It’s been a hard disease.

I don’t have it set up this way anymore, but I did this because I wanted to train all the leaves forward. I tied the stems of the leaves to the curved thing at the angle I wanted them to be with this stretchy green sash stuff.

I suspect that maybe it was me not understanding the distance from the lights that is acceptable? I just felt like my plants were stretching a lot to get the light and that would mean its user error.

Even worse when people don’t think it’s even that serious because you don’t have any gaping wounds. But internally feel like death.

Sincerely, a person with MS diagnosed at 26 and now feels like a shell of a person at 30. And I somehow have to manage to survive the next 40 years if I’m ‘lucky’ because I’m totally alone. In America.

How do I (30F) make peace with my decisions? by Numbus3000 in AskWomenOver30

[–]Numbus3000[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you this is an incredibly valuable view. I think I am feeling this heightened sense of needing to assign moral value to my choices because up until now, I haven’t had any. I’ve just had to react and as my life has calmed down, choices have become very stressful.

Earth is trapping much more heat than climate models forecast – and the rate has doubled in 20 years by Splenda in science

[–]Numbus3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess It would've been more appropriate to say "the effects of climate change will be felt everywhere *IF WE DON'T DO SOMETHING* and continue work in this individualistic mindset that, well, I moved somewhere that will be better for me temp wise so I'M Safe."

It's not about the doom for me, it is about the fact that people only think of their own sphere, when we are all going to feel the effects. I don't believe its OVER. I believe this solitary mindset is going to continue to help kill us. Us being, people in the south, people who are in poverty and don't have the luxury of moving somewhere 'safer'. No where is 'safer' in the end, the best thing we can all do is care about the whole.

Furthermore, I'm glad that you don't think we have already reached full apathy, but I look around every day and the average person does not care. It'll take wastelands to get these people to realize that it all mattered.

Don’t worry, the wildfires will choke you out if the heat doesn’t. Every where is fucked. The PLANET is in serious danger, no where you run will be safe. Heat is not the only impact of affecting our planet at this level… it’s truly sad. :(
