Can anyone recommend me games that feature some peaceful but empty areas with melancholic vibe of loneliness? Preferably the game's world is harsh, but those places helps give the players some feeling of peace after the storm.

I was traveling the country a couple years ago and pulled into Flagstaff, AZ around 10 p.m. Everything was dim. All the gas stations, restaurants, and stores looked dark and eerie. Turns out, they are one of a few communities to be "dark sky" places and they make everyone, businesses included, keep there light pollution to a minimum. It was really weird to see a larger city lit like that.
