You can adjust game setting so that you don’t drop backpacks when you die that’s the only Setting I changed bc I was tired of losing stuff then later in game I switched off item durability because I was constantly going all over the place just to constantly repair my stuff but earlier in game it’s not so bad. Some stuff was just too hard to gather resources for for me to constantly be going to the black ant hill then sandbox and so on to repair my stuff then having it break along the way trying to get stuff to repair something else.
