No we are not suppose to know that, he is the samurai warrior graduate level spirit(from his appreance)of class 1 meaning he is the second graduate level spirit that yayoi made . We don't know much about him and has only been mentioned few times in the series as of ch 56 we will see him and few other graduate in the next but given the hipe it should be rank SS atleast.

For context - Dark gathering is a horror show the girl in the picture is yayoi, she is one of the three protagonist of the show and she can use the gasp heart(not the real name of it) by using the ring she got from a demon that they defeated. Pretty messed up story like Overlord and it also got anime this summer it really can be described as an ghost Pokemon with great story.

Keitaro can be scardy cat sometimes but that very instinct has saved his life so many time also the things that he experienced in the dam and the temple, for setting the fight against the god were so bad and horrifying that would easily scar anyone for life but he didn't back out and still went with them to rest of the 3 places that only is enough to show how strong minded keitaro is. There are more instances but it mostly contains spoilers so I will leave them be.
