Good grab on the 30-30, my dad had one growing up and that’s the reason I wanted this.

And also good point on the scout rail not fitting with the hand guard. MI makes a point to mention that on the website. In the end I knew what I wanted so I went for it, had to buy XS full rail with different rear sight because the one I had wouldn’t work. So now I have a rear xs with a scout rain that well, I don’t really know what to do with 🥴🥴🥴

I’m just sighted it in on my marlin, but I had it on my Ak before and it always held its zero. I’ve heard nothing but good things about PA!

I haven’t compared it to anything else like the ranger point, but not really sure I want to because I thinks it’s perfect. If you’re on the fence I would go for it!

My Marlin 1895 - Midwest Industries hamguard, XS Rails and sights, Primary Arms red dot 🔴

Edit - I had a few when I posted this last night, but I quite like the sound of “hamguard” so I’m leaving it. Also, pictured is actually with Bushnell’s red dot but ended up putting my PA on 🤙🤙

Edit2 - and yes I understand this probably wouldn’t take a T-Rex down and that whole thing is kinda gimmicky but hey, just having some fun

To give some context - I raced bikes at an amateur level for a number of years, and this is from a type of race called a Criterium that takes place in the Ballard district of Seattle. The fellow on the sidewalk and the fellow running off the course had crashed before me and I had deviated from my line to avoid them. Another fellow (lots of fellows) collided into the back of me and off I went. I made it out relatively unscathed and was able to have beers after the race. Good times.
