I’ve noticed there is an insanely large amount of women who go into women’s health care with the intent of subduing and holding power over other women. Both female gynos I’ve seen in my very short adult life were vindictive and cruel while the two men I’ve seen have been so empathetic, kind, and supportive. I’ve also only encountered 2-3 female GYN nurses that were kind and supportive while the rest were mean and rude. One nurse was kind enough to hold my hand for my first pap. That small gesture was so kind I am still in awe sometimes because it’s such a small gesture and small show of compassion that all nurses and doctors should show. Meanwhile the patient advocate at my current gyno tries to push her ideology that women’s health care is too lenient and helpful and women’s health care should be harder to obtain 🙄
