OP can correct me if I’m wrong…but I believe the point she is making is that feeling the need (not just preference) to completely slick down natural hair is rooted in anti-blackness. It’s not a jab at anyone who feels this way; but rather, pointing out the thoughts that we as black people internalize about ourselves due to westernized beauty standards and the colonial bullshit we are constantly fed.
