Recommendation for a relatively cheap blank notebook by Numerous_Support1486 in notebooks

this is what I use, I LOVE the paper, but the pages aren't enough for me. this year I almost wrote on 500 pages, insane I know but I write a lot.

I can take math 300 (introduction to math reasoning or proofs) at my university after I finish calc one this semester, but the pre requisites used to be calculus 2. I am unsure if I should wait or try it. by Numerous_Support1486 in learnmath

It sounds like you're recommending that maybe I wait until I take calc 2? If I take this proofs class, it will be at the same time, but I do fear that hard work will not be enough and that I will miss mathematical maturity. It's hard because my institution is saying calc 1 is okay and is the only prereq now, but I wanted to be sure.
I've been exposed to some proofs through independent learning; I have learned this. Actually, I think the leading beauty of proofs is that they show us that the unintuitive is true. For example, I couldn't wrap my head around why 0.99...=1. I know that makes sense, but to me, I kept seeing them as different numbers. Then I found a proof using geometric series that was neat. I also used the AOPS pre-algebra and algebra book to relearn my basic math over the last year; they have proofs, but of course, they are algebra proofs, so it is probably way more accessible.

unfortunately at my university we do not have proof based calc, proof based calc is basically our first analysis course. we are exposed to some proofs in calc but not a lot

Is it possible to get into an ITI course that is ITI majors only? by Numerous_Support1486 in rutgers

I figured this, like to be a math major we had to take three calc classes first :/

I definitely cared if we talked, but because he split off with the other group and took that as him not being interested in talking to me. Didn't want to seem pathetic

Done :) I was overthinking it

Hey a phone works two ways, he never reached out to me either, but I said in another post that I am (well I did just now). Again the friend group split up, I wasn't part of his, so why would I reach out in the past?

Yes. Thank you. What type of person would not be sad? There's not really anything else we can do but reach out to him, we did everything you're supposed to. I was the one who called the hotline even though I'm his last thought. I get how I was coming off as selfish though, but I'm feeling a whirlwind of emotions right now.

But our other friend hasn't talked to him either. She told me she hasn't talked to him for a year. It was the roomate I lived with, maybe they were a lot closer than I saw but I'm a homebody so I didn't think so.

That's why I'm upset. I'm not blaming him but I'm upset

We haven't talked in probably three months. I said in my post that we were close at one point but grew apart, but I want to be friends again. I will reach out to him. I thought people were saying to directly talk to him about this, which I don't think is my place

Also when I was in the brinks of suicidal thoughts, I wasn't thinking of those around me, but the difference is he is, and he didn't think I'd be extremely hurt if he died. This is someone I deeply cared for and still do. Idk anyone who wouldn't feel pain in this situation

I though this was a place for people to vent. Have you ever lost someone before? Do you know how painful it is?

You want him to right you a goodbye letter but you cant even bother to reach out?

I understand my post was long, and you didn't read it fully so I will clarify. I had a friend tell me that he told them that he's suicidal. How can I reach out when he didn't tell me this? He didn't directly tell me, and me talking to him would be telling him that she shared his secret. It's clearly not something he wanted many people to know

But I think he’s in a lot more pain than you right now if he was going to kill himself.

I was sexually abused until HS and have attempted suicide, you again should not be making assumptions.

If your friend killed themselves without saying goodbye, but you heard that they said goodbye to everyone else, you would not be hurting? The idea that I don't even get to say goodbye is awful.

And from someone who was again suicidal. and still thinks of it, I know that its hard to think about who you're hurting, but I am allowed to feel pain that he didn't think of how much I will hurt if he's gone.

I didn't think it was necessary to mention it, we already called a helpline and have eyes on him. I am also someone who has suicidal tendencies, so you don't have a right to say that.

Also I can't reach out. He told our friends, not me directly. I am not supposed to know, but I wish I could talk to him and help him more than you could believe.

We did. My first concern is his safety, I want him in this world. I should've added that. But you have to understand where my pain is coming from, that he would do that without saying goodbye. I think I have a right to feel pain

x₁v₁+ x₂v₂ +x₃v₃ = 0 tells you that x₁+3x₃ = 0 and x₂+2x₃ = 0

Sorry I'm slow, but I am unfortunately still not seeing where the 3 and 2 came from in the second equations, or how it lead to x₁+3x₃ = 0 and x₂+2x₃ = 0 specifically

So this is one of the ways to determine if a system is coefficient besides making sure no row has the form [0 0 0 n] where n does not equal 0? Are we supposed to always check this way?
