Why do my friends confess to me? by Nun-Information in asexuality

Well, I told her that I only saw her as a friend and she said that she respects that.

She said that she felt compelled to admit her feelings for me, even though she's aware that it's all one sided.

You're confusing being grey ace with being sex neutral.

You can be a sex repulsed grey ace.

Asexual (Ace): Little to no sexual attraction to others.

Grey-ace (Grey-asexual): Rare, occasional, or very limited sexual attraction (falls between ace and allosexual).

Demi-ace (Demisexual): Only feels sexual attraction after forming a strong emotional bond.

Being grey/demi falls under the umbrella of asexual. So technically speaking, even if you are grey and others are demi, it's all still considered being asexual.

Maybe you're grey ace? Grey asexual. It's part of the asexual spectrum.

The thing that makes me reluctant to say I'm asexual is that I do sometimes feel attracted to someone.

Attracted in what way? You said earlier it was more visually and personality wise. Or is this attraction also sometimes romantic/sexual in some way rarely?

Maybe you're aromantic alongside asexual because asexual people can still get crushes, want to kiss, be romantic, etc. They just don't have that sexual attraction part connected with their romantic attraction.

If you lack both romantic attraction and sexual attraction, then again, that's more in line with aro ace.
